The young lady, during a Twitter space, called out Mercy Eke and her sister for refusing to pay her an amount of N1 million to purchase premuim ICUs to vote. According to the lady, the sister of Mercy Eke, Promise has been threatening her for coming out to speak. She disclosed that the sister of Mercy Eke fumed and refused to pay for the money because her sister did not win the show but came second. Also, some fans also exposed how Mercy Eke left behind N4 million to buy votes in order to make her win the show.

Peter Obi begs Bishop Oyedepo to canvass Christian votes in leaked audio

Peter Gregory Obi, a significant contender in the 2023 presidential elections, sought to rally Christian leaders to support his campaign in a leaked audio with Bishop Oyedepo.

Mr Obi, who represented the Labour Party, viewed the February 25, 2023 election as an opportunity to advocate for the recognition of Christians in Nigeria, leveraging the polarisation ignited by Bola Tinubu‘s Muslim-Muslim nomination. To strengthen his appeal, Peter Obi in a leaked audio reached out to Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church (Winners’ Chapel) the day before the election, asking him to convey his message to Christians across the South-West, as well as those in states like Kwara, Kogi, and Niger.

In the leaked audio obtained by Peoples Gazette, Oyedepo confirmed that he had already made a move in a previous lecture. He said, “a sickening nation like Nigeria will require a strong and healthy personality. The presidential candidate for Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has won massive votes in Ebonyi, Anambra, and Abia States.

Peter Obi and the Labour seem to have won the hearts of the people of Anambra, Abia, and Ebonyi as they swept massive votes in these States. In a new report, Peter Obi has won 584,621 votes in Anambra while APC’s Tinubu won 5,111, PDP with 9,036 and NNPP won 1,967. In Abia State too, LP Peter Obi won 327,097, Tinubu carried 8, 914 while NNPP and PDP got 1,239 and 22,676 respectively. Also in Ebonyi state, Peter Obi’s votes were 259,738 while Tinubu got 42,402 votes and 1,661 and 13, 503 for NNPP and PDP respectively. Peter Obi wins Delta state with 341,866 votes

The presidential candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi, emerges the winner of the presidential election conducted in Delta state.

Recall that the 2023 presidential election was conducted on the 25th of February, 2023. Earlier, we reported that Peter Obi surpassed his counterparts in Abuja, Nasarawa, Lagos, Enugu, and now Delta in the elections. According to the results released by INEC, Obi polled a total of 341,866 to edge out his closest rival PDP’s Atiku Abubakar who polled a total of 161,600 votes while APC’s Bola Tinubu polled 90,183 votes to come third. The candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, came a distant fourth with 3,122 votes.

The presidential candidate of People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has swept massive votes in Sokoto and Kaduna. Labour Party’s Peter Obi wins with 281,717 votes in Abuja

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has emerged as the winner in Abuja with 281,717 votes.

The former Governor of Anambra State successfully secured 281,717 votes, Bola Tinubu of APC polled 90,902 votes while Atiku Abubakar of the PDP got 74,199 votes. The Federal Capital Territory has six area councils—Gwagwalada, Abaji, Kwali, Gwagwalada, Bwari, and Abuja Municipal.

Out of the six area councils, Labour Party won four, while the APC won two. Peter Obi’s largest victory was in Abuja Municipal (AMAC), where he secured over 70 percent of the votes cast and defeated his closest challenger with over 140,000 votes. In AMAC, the LP candidate polled 170,392 votes to defeat Bola Tinubu of the APC who polled 29,596 votes, and Atiku Abubakar of the PDP who scored 26,407 votes.

Tinubu emerges winner in Zamfara State with 298,396 votes

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has emerged as the winner in Zamfara State.

The collation officer for the Zamfara State presidential election, Professor Kashim Shehu of the Federal University of Birnin Kebbi, announced the results in Gusau, the state capital, in the early hours of Tuesday. Kashim noted that Tinubu won 12 out of 14 Local Government Areas in the state, while Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party won two. According to the results announced at the presidential election collation center, Tinubu polled 298,396 votes. The former Lagos State governor was closely followed by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with 193,978 votes. Other top contenders were Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) who scored 4,044 votes and the Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) with 1,660 votes.

Shehu declared that votes in 167 polling units were canceled due to over-voting, insecurity, and disruptions by thugs. The total number of registered voters in the state was 1,879,308, while 527,137 of them were accredited for the poll. A total of 502,923 valid votes were recorded and 16,508 void votes, bringing the total votes cast to 519,431.

The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has conquered the candidates of APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Nasarawa State.

It will be recalled that the 2023 presidential election was held on the 25th of February. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinibu of the All-Progressive people’s party and Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party have lost their votes in Nasarawa State. Peter Obi, who captured four local governments in Nasarawa, and votes obtained votes from other LGAs totaling 191,361 to bag the state. He was ahead of other political parties such as the ruling APC with 172, 922 votes, PDP with a total score of 147, 093, NNPP polled 12, 715, and APGA polled 989 among other parties.

EFCC arrests 2 men for buying votes with new naira notes, wrappers in Zamfara State

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 2 men for buying votes with new naira notes and wrappers.

According to EFCC, the commander led by Aliyu Yusuf on the 25th of February arrested two alleged vote buyers in Gusau Zamfara State with the sum of N107,000 in their possession only in one thousand notes denomination wrappers. The statement read: Officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, led by Commander of the EFCC, Aliyu Yusuf, on 25th February 2023 arrested two alleged vote buyers in Gusau, Zamfara State. While Mustapha Abubakar was arrested with the sum of N107,000 (One Hundred and Seven Thousand Naira) only in one thousand naira denomination and tickets specially designed for voters as evidence for voting for his party before collection of the money, Isa Abdullahi was arrested for buying votes with wrappers concealed in the boot and back seat of a Peugeot 406 saloon. The suspects and the recovered items are in the custody of the Commission as the investigation continues.
