A young Nigerian lady is left in pain after receiving her expensive wig damaged by a friend whom she lent it to for an event. A video making the rounds on social media captured the frustration of a wig owner whose trust in people was badly slashed after giving out her hair to her friend.

Nigerian lady breaks Guinness World Record for longest handmade wig

A Nigerian lady Helen Williams, hailing from Lagos, has secured her place in the prestigious Guinness World Records for creating the world’s longest handmade wig. The announcement was made through a tweet by the Guinness World Records on Tuesday, November 14. According to the official statement from the Guinness World Records, Helen’s extraordinary creation spans an impressive 351.28 meters (1,152 ft 5 in), earning her the coveted title.

According GWR report, Helen dedicated an astounding 11 days and invested over two million naira (£2,031; $2,493) in bringing her vision to life. The meticulous process involved constructing the wig’s foundation with wig-cap netting and black fabric, cleverly attached to a bicycle helmet.

Subsequently, Helen completed the hairpiece using 1,000 bundles of hair, 12 cans of hair spray, 35 tubes of hair glue, and an impressive 6,250 hair clips. A lady who reportedly stole dresses, and wig caps from another lady to do Tiktok video content has been nabbed. The video was shared by the former friend of the alleged thief and showed the moment the owner of the dresses and wig caps got to the compound of the suspect.
