Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, has won the governorship election conducted on Saturday, March 18.

Eno won in 29 out of the 31 local government areas in the state with a total of 350,348 votes. His closest challenger, Bassey Albert of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), who won in two local government areas, polled 136,262 votes. Akanimo Udofia of the All Progressives Congress (APC) came third with 127,602 votes, and he reportedly lost in all the local governments in the state including Nsit Ibom where he hails from.

The results from all the local government areas were announced at the INEC collation centre in Uyo, the state capital.

The incumbent  Governor of Lagos State and the All Progressives Congress candidate for the governorship election, Babajide Sanwo-Olu emerged victorious at the polling unit of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who is the President-elect.

The polling unit recorded a low turnout, with only 50 out of the 324 registered voters who came out to cast their votes. Sanwo-Olu obtained 43 votes, whereas his strongest rival, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party, secured five votes, and the National Rescue Movement had one vote. The APC candidate also won at his polling unit with a landslide result against Gbadebor Rhodes-Vivor and other gubernatorial candidates of the state.

He won with a landslide against Abdulazeez Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party LP, at Polling Unit 6, Eiyekole, Lagos Island during the ongoing governorship and State House of Assembly elections. Sanwo-Olu received a total of 121 votes, while Adediran and Rhodes-Vivour managed to secure only one and two votes respectively. After casting his vote, Babajide Sanwo-Olu spoke to reporters and urged for peaceful conduct during the election, expressing contentment with the high voter turnout. “We are happy with the turnout of voters in this election. I was told INEC officials came right on time, and voting is on. “I think it’s time for us to see and understand that this process is not meant to be one of violence. The election that leads to a democratic process is the best form of validating what true democracy is all about. “I want to reiterate that this contest is about peace, progress, and prosperity. Everyone has the right to be able to advocate for everyone to freely express themselves, fairly, and transparently,” he said.

Ireti Kingibe of the Labour Party (LP) has been declared as the winner of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Senate seat.

The Independent National Electoral Commission‘s returning Officer, Professor Sanni Saka announced the result on Tuesday, February 28, He said Ireti scored 202,175 votes to emerge the winner, adding that Philip Aduda of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who is three-term Senator, came second with 100,544 votes. Angulu Dobi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) came third with 78,905 votes.

Saka said; “I, Prof. Sanni Saka, thereby certify that I am the Returning Officer for the 2023 FCT Senatorial district election held on Feb. 25. The election was contested and the candidates received the votes as announced. That Ireti Kingibe, having satisfied the requirement of the law, has been declared the winner.”

Peter Obi and the Labour seem to have won the hearts of the people of Anambra, Abia, and Ebonyi as they swept massive votes in these States. In a new report, Peter Obi has won 584,621 votes in Anambra while APC’s Tinubu won 5,111, PDP with 9,036 and NNPP won 1,967. In Abia State too, LP Peter Obi won 327,097, Tinubu carried 8, 914 while NNPP and PDP got 1,239 and 22,676 respectively. Also in Ebonyi state, Peter Obi’s votes were 259,738 while Tinubu got 42,402 votes and 1,661 and 13, 503 for NNPP and PDP respectively. Peter Obi wins Delta state with 341,866 votes

The presidential candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi, emerges the winner of the presidential election conducted in Delta state.

Recall that the 2023 presidential election was conducted on the 25th of February, 2023. Earlier, we reported that Peter Obi surpassed his counterparts in Abuja, Nasarawa, Lagos, Enugu, and now Delta in the elections. According to the results released by INEC, Obi polled a total of 341,866 to edge out his closest rival PDP’s Atiku Abubakar who polled a total of 161,600 votes while APC’s Bola Tinubu polled 90,183 votes to come third. The candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, came a distant fourth with 3,122 votes.

Sadiq Ango, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) emerges winner of the Sabon Gari Federal Constituency of Kaduna state with 33,616 votes.  Sadiq Ango Sadiq was one of the freed hostages of the Abuja-Kaduna train terrorist attack. Sadiq, the son of Professor Ango Abdullahi, Convener of the Northern Elder’s Forum, and late Hajiya Aisha, “Mama Taraba”, former Minister of Women Affairs, was released by the terrorists on Saturday, July 9, 2022 after three months in captivity. The Returning Officer, Dr Hashim Suleiman of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, announced the result in Zaria. He declared Ango-Abdullahi winner of the election having defeated a four-term member representing the area, Malam Garba-Datti Mohammed of the All Progressive Congress, APC, who polled 31,737 votes.

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has emerged as the winner in Abuja with 281,717 votes.

The former Governor of Anambra State successfully secured 281,717 votes, Bola Tinubu of APC polled 90,902 votes while Atiku Abubakar of the PDP got 74,199 votes. The Federal Capital Territory has six area councils—Gwagwalada, Abaji, Kwali, Gwagwalada, Bwari, and Abuja Municipal.

Out of the six area councils, Labour Party won four, while the APC won two. Peter Obi’s largest victory was in Abuja Municipal (AMAC), where he secured over 70 percent of the votes cast and defeated his closest challenger with over 140,000 votes. In AMAC, the LP candidate polled 170,392 votes to defeat Bola Tinubu of the APC who polled 29,596 votes, and Atiku Abubakar of the PDP who scored 26,407 votes.
