Wunmi, the wife of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has denied reports that she attempted to commit suicide. Wunmi claims that persistent harassment and threats to her and her eight-month-old son, Liam, drove her to sadness and depression. According to reports, Wunmi attempted suicide as a result of cyberbullying and threats directed at her and her child. Wunmi, on the other hand, denied ever committing suicide in a chat. Wunmi said, “No, I never attempted to commit suicide. What actually happened was that because of the cyberbullying from all over social media and the constant calls I received from those who have continued to vow that they must kill me or my son, I became depressed and fell sick for some days. “They are all over everywhere, and they always call me and guess my location right, and it is really getting to me, so I became depressed, but I never attempted to commit suicide.”

This comes days after Naira Marley was released on bail after he was incarcerated for almost two months while the investigation on the death of his ex-signee is ongoing. In the video that resurfaced on the internet, Wunmi was seen on the same bed with Naira Marley alongside another singer, C-Black.

The video has since sparked speculations on social media, with many questioning the debating the relationship between them while others simply thrashed the idea as a throwback from before her marriage to the late Mohbad. Wunmi Aloba, the widow of the late musician IleriOluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, has disclosed that she has received death threats. On Tuesday, November 7, she testified at the Coroner’s Inquest in the Lagos neighbourhood of Ikorodu. Omowunmi stated that the threats have prompted her to wear a face mask anytime she goes out. Mohbad died in his room on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in the afternoon, long before he was confirmed dead owing to previous incidences of bullying, psychological damage, and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency arrest, according to his mother.

She went on to tell the coroner that they had to rush him to the hospital at that point. He was in the back seat of the car, she said, when the driver said his hands were already cold.

Mohbad’s father reveals in new interview why he resents Wunmi

Mohbad’s father has come out to make more jaw-breaking revelations, stating his intense dislike for his daughter-in-law, Wunmi. The father of the late musician had come out recently to accuse Wunmi of using black magic to control his son until he died. Today, he claimed Wunmi only made sure he took care of her and her family, buying properties in her name and forcing Mohbad to neglect his own father. He accused the wife of the late singer of lacing Mohbad’s food with sleeping pills whenever she wanted to cheat, her cheating partners who he says are residents of the Marlian household.
