The president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his wife arrive in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, ahead of the May 29 inauguration.
Asiwaju and his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, flew from France and landed at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, where they were warmly welcomed by party loyalists and supporters who had eagerly been awaiting their arrival. On March 21, Tinubu departed the country for Paris and London where he stated that he needed a break following the elections. Earlier reports had indicated the president-elect’s return to Nigeria before May 29th, as confirmed by Hon. James Faleke, the Secretary of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday.
