At least 100 coaches, including 40 from the 20 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clubs and 60 from the Nigeria Nationwide League (NNL) are undergoing training in youth team coaching in Abuja.
According to Daily Trust, the training is preparatory to the take-off of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Youth Clubs League recently announced by the League Management Company (LMC).

The 100 coaches three-day’s coaching clinic holding at the Abuja National Stadium has resource personnel from the Spanish League, LaLiga.
However speaking at the opening ceremony, LMC Chairman Shehu Dikko and Coordinator of the LaLiga Nigeria Office, Mutiu Adepoju urged the participating coaches to make maximum use of the clinic so as to return Nigeria’s football to greatness.
“I urge all of you to come out with something that will improve our football. Each of you should be able to produce a player in the next three or five years playing in one of our national teams or any of the top leagues in Europe,” Dikko said.
Similarly, Adepoju said: “It is expected that the coaches will be in a position to practice at the highest level at the end of this seminar. The benefit will also result in the players who will be under these coaches to have good technical and tactical foundations to aid them play at the highest level.”
