A Nigerian lady took to her X (twitter) page to share how her friend narrowly escaped a potentially life-threatening situation when she chose to sit in the front seat of a cab. The incident has sparked a wave of reactions on social media about cab seating etiquette and the potential risks involved. The story came to light when a Nigerian man took to social media to express his opinion on the matter. He asserted that it is considered rude for passengers to choose the back seat when the front seat is available, unrelated to pandemic concerns. “Just for your information, do you also know it’s rude to enter an Uber and sit down at the back when the front seat is empty? PS: Don’t bring the pandemic scenario here please,” the man wrote.
Responding to the post, a lady identified as Karen shared a terrifying experience involving her friend, who, unbeknownst to her, faced a dangerous situation simply by sitting in the front seat of a cab. Karen accompanied her post with distressing images of her injured friend. According to Karen, the incident unfolded on a Thursday when her friend entered a cab and took the front seat. Unbeknownst to her, there was someone concealed in the back seat, attempting to strangle her and snatch her phone. In the lady’s words; “You say? This happened to my Friend on Thursday, Just because she sat in front and unknown to her there was someone at the back that fvcking tried to strangle her and collect her Phone. She wouldn’t have gone through this if she sat at the back.” See below;
