A lady, Jubilee Afamefune, rejoices as she graduates with a first class in Engineering from the University of Benin despite combining it with full time photography. The entrepreneurial lady shared a video on her Instagram, jb_afam, where she documented her journey throughout the years. She admitted it had been a tough one as she had to combine the pressure of being a photographer alongside a very involved student. In her words;
“God did! ❤️🎓
All that is going through my head right now is JB make this brief!😂(I will do my best) Congratulations Engr. Afamefune .N. Jubilee, First Class Honours in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, University of Benin, Class of 2022.
I am proud of you! Six years of late nights, early mornings, sacrifices, tears, happiness, dedication, learning, and more. Started in December 2017, extended by ASUU and Covid-19 and now it’s finally over. Deciding to show vulnerable moments in this video was tough but they made up 90% of my study journey. I wanted to express gratitude, but it’d be misleading without revealing the years of grit, tears (a lot of tears Mhen 😂😂) sacrifices, all by God’s grace, that brought me here. I am Grateful to God for the grace to persist despite challenges. Thanks to my amazing family, friends, mentors— especially Azukaego, Ebube, and Desmond for their unwavering belief and support. Special thanks to Osarugue for being a vital support in the most crucial year. Your belief and love mean everything to me 🥹❤️ Countless friends supported me, and while I can’t name everyone (the list would be endless
🥺😭), I deeply appreciate each one of you! My dear friends, well-wishers, and followers, let’s celebrate this milestone together. I pray that God brings better outcomes for you too. May your academic endeavors bear fruit. Amen. ❤️ #graduation #firstclass #femaleengineer #femalephotographer #uniben #blackwomen #womeninstem” SEE POST HERE
