Newly obtained documents have shown inconsistencies in the exam scores of Ejikeme Mmesoma, who had claimed to have scored 362 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) revealed that Mmesoma had actually scored 249 in the exam, with a breakdown of 64 in Use of English, 54 in Physics, 74 in Biology, and 57 in Chemistry.

A breakdown of her common entrance result indicates that she scored 93 in English, 81 in Mathematics, 71 in General Paper, and 89 in Igbo. Although some people have praised Mmesoma’s performance in the common entrance exam, JAMB has insisted that she had forged her UTME result. The Anambra State Government carried out an investigation into the matter and found that Mmesoma had manipulated her UTME scores. Consequently, JAMB has banned her from taking UTME for three years and withdrawn her result. This is coming shortly after an eye witness at Mmesoma Ejikeme‘s JAMB exam hall shared his experience with the embattled student on exam day. According to Ilumina Light, the student’s computer had a glitch and the examiners had to intervene before she could continue. He further noted that despite that, she was still able to score above 200. He appealed to Nigerians not to demean her brilliance.
