Nigerian singer and rapper, Mo’Cheddah is spilling all the juicy details behind the birth of her hit song “Won be ri”.
The singer, who is now married with a child was a guest on media personality, Teymesan’s podcast. Teymesan had asked Mo what her first hit song was and she responded with “Won be ri”. Mo’Cheddah went on to reveal how it came to life. She narrated how she had just gotten into the University at the time at the age of 16. Mo’Cheddah finished her secondary education in September and got into the University of Lagos by the following month. She was still very busy with school and her label did not want her to sing yet as she was still being groomed. However, singer, Saucekid was working on a song that needed a hook. The singer, who was supposed to do the hook was also unavailable at the time. She was also in Unilag and was as busy as Mo’Cheddah as well. They decide to give Mo’Cheddah a chance to record, just so SauceKid has something to record on. Saucekid loved her voice in the song. That was how Mo’Cheddah got her first hit song.
