Manchester United stopper Andre Onana is unfazed by the many criticism since arriving England, as he claims it will end with “eternal love”. The Cameroonian goalkeeper in a recent interview with Sky Sport Italia, reflected on his journey from Inter to Manchester United. Despite facing criticism for some errors since start of the Premier League campaign, Onana remains focused to succeed and believes in the potential of his team. He joined Manchester United in a €50 million deal from Inter last summer after an impressive season at the Stadio Meazza, where he was named the best goalkeeper of the 2022/23 Champions League.

People have big expectations from me; this is why I’ve been criticized a lot,” Onana said. He recalled his time at Inter, where he initially faced criticism but eventually earned admiration and success. “It ended with eternal love, but the Red Devils are a bigger club.” Reflecting on his achievements at Inter, including winning the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa in 2022-23, Onana noted the importance of perseverance and teamwork. He believes that with hard work and dedication, Manchester United can overcome their current challenges and achieve success.
