Shallipopi has responded to claims that he paid N9 million to purchase “fake streams” to increase the position of his tracks on digital music charts. Ebaide, a budding singer, claimed that a music influencer had defrauded her by taking money on false pretences of increasing her music streams, only to back out. She stated that after the influencer informed her that she had completed the same task for Shallipopi for N9 million, she had agreed to pay for the job. However, reacting via his X handle, Shallipopi described the allegations as “fake”.
