President Muhammadu Buhari marks 80th in America (Video)

The Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, marks his 80th birthday in the United States of America.

The president is currently in the US for a Nigeria Business and Investment Forum, Business Roundtable organised by the American Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) in conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, on the sidelines of the US-Africa Leaders Summit.
A video making rounds on social media captured the moment Nigerians in the diaspora celebrated with the president as he marks his 80th birthday.
Buhari was celebrated in the company of his delegates, including, the Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa.

RMD, others attend Olu Jacobs’ 80th birthday party

On Sunday, veteran Nollywood stars alongside notable entertainers and personalities attended the 80th birthday ceremony of Nollywood actor, Olu Jacobs.
The alluring pictures from the event were shared by Jacobs’ wife, Joke Silva, on her Instagram page.

Sharing videos of the beautifully decorated venue for the party on her Instagram page, Silva wrote, “My heart leaps for joy. It’s my birthday too.”
Attendees who were spotted at the venue include actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, comedian Alibaba, beauty mogul Tara Durotoye, and a host of others.
On social media, Nigerians joined in celebrating the thespian with heartwarming birthday wishes.

President Buhari celebrates Olu Jacobs on his 80th birthday

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammad Buhari, felicitates the veteran actor, Olu Jacobs, as he marks his 80th birthday.
The thespian who clocked 80 today, the 11th of July, received an acknowledgment from the president for his impact on the entertainment industry.

The congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, titled ‘President Buhari joins Nollywood in celebrating Olu Jacobs at 80.’
“The President felicitates with the Jacobs’ family, including the wife, also a renowned thespian, Joke Silva, and their friends on the auspicious occasion, which calls for thanksgiving for God’s care, guidance and protection.

“President Buhari affirms the influence of the veteran actor on the film industry, setting a standard of professionalism that has attracted global recognition and awards, like the Lifetime Achievement Award conferred on him in 2016 by African Movie Academy Awards,” the statement read.
