In the week of February 23rd, 2023, the remix of ‘Calm Down’ featuring Selena Gomez enters the chart at No. 25, two spots higher than its previous position of No. 27. This is the 27th week for ‘Calm Down‘ on the chart, and it is now the second-highest-charting Afrobeats song after Wizkid’s ‘Essence’, which reached No. 9 following the success of the Justin Bieber remix. Tems also appears on the chart with Future’s ‘Wait For U’, which maintains its position at No. 36 and has been on the chart for 39 weeks.

Burna Boy‘s ‘Last Last’ drops to No. 6, CKay’s ‘Love Nwantiti’ moves up to No. 7, while ‘Alone’ drops to No. 8. Fireboy’s ‘Peru’ and Oxlade’s ‘Kulosa’ retain the 9th and 10th spots, respectively. As for debuts this week, Ayra Starr’s ‘Sability’ debuts at No. 14, Spyro’s ‘Who’s Your Guy’ debuts at No. 27, and Pheelz’s ‘Pheelz Like Summer’ debuts at No. 44.

Rema, who released the song, “Calm down” about 10 months ago scored another impressive feat after the song garnered almost 300 million views on youtube.
The song, “Calm Down” is off Rema’s debut studio album, Rave and Rose, which was released earlier in the year 2022.
The Mavin record singer also released a remix with American singer, Selena Gomez, which is already the most streamed Afro-beat song in the year 2022.
This is only one of Rema’s many achievements so far in the year 2022.

This analysis was revealed by Spotify and shared via the Twitter page of “Wetalksound”. While “Calm Down” original has 211,713,707 streams, the remix has 225,235,290 streams, both totaling 463 million streams.

The University of Lagos (UniLag) has reacted after popular singer, Divine Ikubor AKA Rema, complained that ASUU strike was stopping him from resuming school.

The singer had yesterday complained that since he gained admission, he hadn’t entered a class and begged for an end to the prolonged strike.

Bowen University had jumped on the opportunity to entice the singer with an offer to come to their university since they’re not, and won’t delay him with strike.
Reacting to this, Rema had noticed unilag that a private university was ‘toasting’ him.
He wrote:
“Unilag private university don dey Toast me o, I’m blushing omg stop it.”

To which UniLag said:
“Hmm… Rema dear, UNILAG has chosen you o, Hmm… so don’t let anybody come dey change your mind o… Rema no dey vex for us o.”

Rema then replied:
“Awww Unilag end the strike or I will go ooo, we want to go back to school pls the youths are not happy!”

UniLag replied with: “Baby calm down.”
