"Avoid zobo" - Woman risks losing 5-month pregnancy as she's rushed to hospital after consuming '1 full bottle of zobo'

A pregnant Nigerian woman recently shared her ordeal about landing in the hospital just days after consuming zobo. In a post by @talk2veee, a media influencer, an unnamed Nigerian woman’s hospital experience was revealed through an image shared in the post.

Nigerian woman. The caption of the image reads: “This was when I spent two days in the hospital after consuming a whole bottle of zobo during my 6th month of pregnancy. I am grateful for my hospital’s swift response.” Also, thankful to God and my family. Initially, we didn’t attribute it to zobo until later. She further warned fellow pregnant women against consuming zobo for any reason unless their delivery date is imminent. Uk-based Nigerian student dies after consuming 'Cannab!s Sweet'

A 23-year-old Nigerian Law student in the United Kingdom, Damilola Olakanmi, has died after consuming cannabis sweets she and her friend bought online.

Olakanmi, who lives in Ilford, east London with her mother, was reported to have bought the ‘gummies’ through a messaging app which were delivered to her home where she fell ill last Tuesday.
Mirror UK’s report says Olakanmi consumed the ‘sweets’ with her friend, 21, and both immediately fell ill.
The report added that while her friend survived, she died
Sadly, Olakanmi is reported to be the only child of her mother.

Meanwhile, a suspect, Leon Brown, 37, has been arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply Class B synthetic cannabinoid, being concerned in the supply of a synthetic cannabinoid, and possession with intent to supply a psychoactive substance.
