Nigerians react as Guinness World Record deducts 7 hours from Hilda Baci’s 100 hours cooking marathon

Just hours ago, the Guinness World Record officially confirmed Hilda Baci as the holder of the longest cooking marathon by an individual. The announcement, posted on the Guinness World Records website, has stirred mixed reactions among Nigerians.

Hilda Baci

Nigerians react to thr 7 hours time reduction of Hilda Baci’s time However, due to issues with her resting hours, Hilda’s official record time stands at 93 hours and 11 minutes, rather than the intended 100 hours. Guinness World Records released a statement affirming Hilda Baci’s achievement: “Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes. “The 26-year-old Nigerian chef began on Thursday 11 May and continued through to Monday 15 May, cooking over 100 pots of food during her four-day kitchen stint. “Hilda attempted to set a record of 100 hours, however, almost seven hours were deducted from her final total because she mistakenly took extra minutes for one of her rest breaks early on in the attempt.” In response to the confirmation of her record, many Nigerians reacted, bashing the Guinness world records for the time removal. See the responses below:

Stop cooking and I will give you N1 million

Stop cooking and I will give you N1 million

A Nigerian businessman has promised to give N1 million cash to chef Dammy N1 million if she immediately calls off her ongoing cookathon. He made this promise following the heavy backlash that the chef has been facing since she started cooking in Oye, Ekiti state. According to the businessman, he has no problem with Chef Dammy’s decision to cook for 120 hours, but he only believes it is too early since Hilda Baci has just finished hers. He added that it would have been better for Chef Dammy to wait for Hilda to get her record certified by the Guinness World Records before kick-starting hers. @OhhhhMyJosh reacted: “Una wey get money too rude.” @amudaDewale added: “Another clout chaser jumping on the trend. Sets a camera and pretends to work out lmao. Some things are just silly acts. Go rest.” Watch the video below: Chef Dammy who is on the quest to break Hilda Baci’s longest hours of cooking set at 100-hours continues to wax stronger amidst backlash and the sleepless nights. What that meant was it took away from the time that I had to rest. “I was trying to rack up cause I get 5 minutes everytime I completed 1 hour. So if I stand for one hour I had 5 minutes to rest. And I still had to do my medical checks. God bless my medical team. They were on ground. “Because I was on my period I had to take a shower every single break I had. If I had 30 minutes I had to take a shower in that time because I had to change. “My dad was worried because I have horrible cramps. Like really horrible cramps. So pushing through that means I can conquer things in this life.” Reacting to this Obissyn_ceo wrote: “Why perform such a thing on your menstrual period in the first place?
