Gary Neville has slammed the Glazer family for the “unprofessional” manner in which they have overseen a sale of Manchester United. United was first put up for sale in November and over the past six months, there has been little progress. The two frontrunners, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe remain keen and have submitted multiple offers. There are reports that the Glazers could stay put in some form while they are seeking £6 billion for a full sale. Manchester United legend, Gary Neville. Manchester United fans have also become worried that the takeover is dragging on too long and could impact their summer recruitment drive. Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has now lashed out at the owners of the club, the Glazer family, for not concluding the sale as soon as possible. Manchester United owners, the Glazer family. They know fan protests would have been more significant than they already have if matches were still being played and the end result of the sale process is unpopular. Basically any family members staying in would be deemed unacceptable by all fans. Is this why they’re holding off?” Plainly obvious the Glazer family aren’t going to announce anything on the ownership until the season is closed! The Red Devils have already been linked to several big names including Harry Kane, Neymar, and Victor Osimhen.
Gary Neville claims Bruno Fernandes was asking to be subbed off at 6-0 down to Liverpool
Football legend turned pundit and commentator, Gary Neville has hit out at Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes for reportedly being annoyed at not being substituted during their 7-0 loss to Liverpool.
After trailing 1-0 before half time following a Cody Gakpo opener, the Red Devils were blown away in the second half with Jurgen Klopp’s side hitting an extra six. Gakpo got another with Mo Salah and Darwin Nunez getting a brace each before Roberto Firmino who will leave Anfield at the end of the season, bagged the seventh of the evening. After Salah became Liverpool’s all-time leading Premier League goalscorer in the 83rd minute when he tapped home from close range to make it 6-0, co-commentator Gary Neville spotted something going on. Neville suggested that a frustrated Fernandes was struggling to hide his discontent at being left on the pitch as Anthony Elanga replaced Marcus Rashford in the final minutes. He said; “Bruno Fernandes is stood in the centre circle with his arms raised saying ‘why is it me not coming off?’ “Honestly, I have to say some of his behaviour in the second half has been a disgrace. I’ve had enough of him throwing his arms about, not running about. That wasn’t a captain’s performance by him.” Fellow pundit and former Man Utd team-mate Keane said: “Fernandes’ body language today was disgraceful. Players will no doubt feel ashamed. They went missing in the second half. “But I have to say Liverpool were absolutely amazing. Their energy, decision-making… Liverpool were back to their very, very best.” Sky cameras failed to show his so-called outburst but footage from the stands has since emerged showing the Portuguese midfielder’s reaction.
