Gary Neville has slammed the Glazer family for the “unprofessional” manner in which they have overseen a sale of Manchester United. United was first put up for sale in November and over the past six months, there has been little progress. The two frontrunners, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe remain keen and have submitted multiple offers. There are reports that the Glazers could stay put in some form while they are seeking £6 billion for a full sale.

Manchester United fans have also become worried that the takeover is dragging on too long and could impact their summer recruitment drive. They know fan protests would have been more significant than they already have if matches were still being played and the end result of the sale process is unpopular. Basically any family members staying in would be deemed unacceptable by all fans. The Red Devils have already been linked to several big names including Harry Kane, Neymar, and Victor Osimhen.
