Igbo-chieftain, Fredrick Nwajagu, the Eze Ndigbo of Ajao Estate in Lagos State, has been arrested for threatening to invite IPOB to Lagos.
Nwajagu had made a video that went viral on Friday where he threatened to bring in members of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to safeguard the properties of Igbo individuals in the state. In a joint operation by the Nigeria Police Force and Department of State Services operatives on Saturday morning, Eze Ndigbo was arrested. The police source, who wished to remain anonymous told The Punch that Nwajagu was located at a hotel in Ejigbo and was arrested. “A team of police and DSS went to his palace but he had already fled. He was later traced to a hotel in Ejigbo where he was arrested,” the source said.
