According to the content of the statement, AGN suspended Jerry Williams due to the use of illicit drugs. The statement reads in part reads; “The Guild has been monitoring his involvement in illicit substances since December last year until it got out of hand, and as it is now, he cannot be allowed to associate with other performers on set due to danger. This comes after the union revealed that its proposed payment platform to Federal Government was deemed unfit and lacked integrity.
“The Federal Govt says the payment platform, UTAS, which was proposed by ASUU has failed the integrity test and cannot be adopted.
ASUU has been putting pressure for its own platform, the Universities Transparency Accountability Solution (UTAS) to be approved for paying lecturers instead of the old method which is the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).

It is one of the reasons why the Union embarked on strike. A second test on UTAS is to be carried out this month,” the union revealed on Twitter some days ago.
