The young lady who worked as a house girl and security personnel took to her Tiktok to flaunt the apartment she just built for her parents. A pregnant woman identified as Mrs. Cosy Lucas has been accused of causing serious injuries to her 14-year-old maid, Peace, by scalding her with hot water in Warri, Delta State.

The incident reportedly occurred on April 5, following a mistake by the maid that caused water to splash on one of Mrs. Lucas’ children. In a distressing video, Peace tearfully recounted the incident, showing a significant burn injury on her stomach. An eye-witness who gave an account of the pregnant woman and her maid accused her of maltreatment. “She has been maltreating the maid for a very long time. Yesterday, while the maid was mixing water to bath the woman’s kids, it splashed and touched one of the kids on her arm. The woman on noticing what had happened took the kettle from Peace and asked her to take off her dress before pouring the hot water on her bare skin. This happened in Osubi area of Warri. She even made the child to go to school with the burns untreated and as a result, her uniform stuck to the injury which is on her stomach. She was in severe pains when her teacher noticed what has happened. The woman didn’t take her to the hospital for medical attention nor gave her any form of medication,” the source stated.

Pregnant policewoman arrested over death of her maid

A Deputy Superintendent of Police at Oyo State identified as Omolola Omolabi has been picked up by the police over the death of her 14-year-old maid known as Tomiwa Ajayi.

According to reports, the mother of the deceased accused the policewoman, Omolola of killing her daughter, Ajayi.
The mother of the maid was reported to have handed over her daughter to her younger brother’s wife, Kehinde Ojo who in turn gave her to the policewoman who promised to support the young girl to learn some craft while working as a maid in her house.
However, after 10 months of leaving with the policewoman, the corpse of the maid was returned to her family covered with bruises and scars.
Reacting to the accusations leveled against her by the mother of the deceased, the policewoman said;
“I don’t know anything about this matter and the death of Tomiwa (Ajayi). I am pregnant with a baby, why will I want to kill her?
“The hospital records are there to show that we took her (Tomiwa) for medical care before she gave up.
“I don’t want my name soiled. Already, I know I have lost my job with the Nigeria Police over this matter. I pray that Tomiwa’s family will see my efforts in this area and know I did not kill their child.”

The Twitter user, identified as @King_Bangy recounts her experience with her maid who eats 2 eggs with her breakfast daily. She also recently discovered that the maid adds slices of cheese even. She concluded it was too much of a cost for her to bear.

Her tweet was replied to by another user, who said her own maid is allowed to eat anything she wants and that she doubts it’s too much.
