Nollywood actor Damola Olatunji has taken to social media to celebrate his birthday and request prayers for his esteemed senior colleague, Yomi Fash Lanso. In a heartfelt post on his Instagram page, Damola expressed his admiration and gratitude for Yomi, referring to him as his mentor, friend, and brother.

He wrote; “OLUWAYOMI – I often find myself wondering how I managed to secure such an incredible mentor. You are a source of wisdom, strength, and inspiration. It is with great respect that I wish you a happy birthday today. I cannot wait to continue learning from you in the future. Happy Birthday, mentor.”

He stated; “OLUWAROTIMI – You’ve inspired me, directly and indirectly, to finally take the plunge in my career and turn my fears into confidence by pursuing my career and being me! May this birthday bless you with everything you need to keep on inspiring. We need more people like you to help improve the world. Happy birthday dear friend.” Damola continued his heartfelt message by addressing Yomi as “FASH-LANSO,” expressing his gratitude for having someone he can trust and rely on. He thanked Yomi for being the ultimate mentor and said; “To have someone you trust by your side is the Ultima gift. For that person to also aid in fostering your growth, something dreams are made of. Thank you for being the ultimate mentor. I hope today brings you everything you could ask for Aseyi Samodun EGBON MI.” Concluding his post, Damola Olatunji requested his followers and fans to join him in offering prayers for Yomi Fash Lanso. “Pls help me say a word of prayer for my mentor, friend, and brother,” he wrote. During an interview with YouTuber Tayo Aina, Davido discussed his early music career, his growth in the industry, and his initial encounter with his mentor, Don Baba J.

Furthermore, he acknowledged Don Jazzy as his mentor, stating that it took guts to stand in his presence during their first meeting together. In his words, “Don Jazzy was my mentor. I remember the first time I saw him, it felt like I was looking at Jesus. It was truly amazing.”

He mentioned that Davido’s work ethic, despite his considerable success and wealth, serves as a constant source of motivation for him regardless of being his mentor. He also acknowledged not letting the singer down particularly because of the pedestal he placed him as his mentee. “And that’s how life is @davido Now I look at all you have achieved and I am super proud of you. Even with all that success and wealth I look at your work ethic and I am highly motivated. I’m glad that as a mentor I haven’t let you down too. We thank GOD. More blessings bro,” he wrote. O.B.O in response to the note from the Mavins records boss acknowledged it with, “Baba mi,” while adding heart emojis.

Nigerian crossdresser, James Brown, experienced immense happiness when he finally met his mentor, Nollywood actor, Zubby Michael, for the first time. The meeting was filmed and subsequently uploaded onto James’ official Instagram page.

James Brown, who recently made his debut as an actor in a movie by actress Destiny Etiko, expressed his enthusiasm at meeting Zubby Michael in the flesh and announced the prominent film star as one of his mentors in the Nigerian movie industry. Zubby Michael’s demeanour was cordial and welcoming, and he even took photographs with James Brown.

Spyro remembers late mentor Sound Sultan in a heartfelt open letter

Nigerian musician, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro recently wrote an open letter to his late mentor Sound Sultan, who passed away on July 11, 2021, in the United States after battling Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.

In a recent Instagram post, Spyro reminisced about all the good deeds Sound Sultan did for him and acknowledged his immense contribution to his success. Spyro stated that he misses his mentor and cannot count his blessings without him.

Spyro expressed regret that Sound Sultan is not here to witness his success but thanked him for all he taught him. “I MISS YOU mentor … I cannot COUNT MY BLESSINGS without you. Today thoughts of how you fed me, clothed me and accepted me when nobody did come rushing back. “I remember a night we were to go for an event and I, as usual, came so unkept and fashion-less but while others laughed at me, you went up to your room and brought your cloth down for me to wear. “I wish you are here to see all that is happening. I remember how I would always tell you I would make you proud and it’s sad you ain’t here now . Thank you for all you taught me and did for me … Till we meet again jest on in power.” He wrote.
