Nkunku scores debut goal as Chelsea slump to 2-1 defeat against Wolves

Chelsea marked their fourth consecutive away defeat in the Premier League as they suffered a 2-1 setback against Wolves on Christmas Eve. Gary O’Neil’s team secured the win with goals from Mario Lemina in the 51st minute and Matt Doherty in added time of the second half. Meanwhile, Christopher Nkunku also scored his first Premier League goal in added time for Chelsea, but it proved to be a mere consolation. The loss sees Chelsea currently placed tenth in the Premier League table, as they struggle to find consistent form in their away fixtures.

The match at Molineux was characterized by missed opportunities for Chelsea, including a notable miss by Raheem Sterling in a promising attacking situation during the first half. Mauricio Pochettino’s side has been struggling to secure points in recent league fixtures, with their last league win dating back to November 6 in a 4-1 victory over Tottenham.
