Oba The royal family of Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi has debunked rumors of one of the monarch’s wives, Oloro Sekinat battling for her life. The rumors were initially reported by blogger Cutie Julls, who alleged that the queen underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery and was now fighting for her life overseas.

In response to the allegations, the palace released a press statement on Monday, denouncing the rumors as false and the product of “wicked imagination.” The statement confirmed that Oloro Sekinat is in good health and is going about her royal duties as usual. The statement read: “The attention of the Elegushi Royal Family has been drawn to the news making rounds on social media purporting that one of the wives of His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, is battling for her life overseas after undergoing a surgical procedure. We wish to state unequivocally that the news is false, baseless, and the product of the wicked imagination of the authors.” The statement further expressed gratitude to friends and family members who have shown concern for the monarch’s family and assured the public that legal action would be taken against anyone spreading false rumors about the royal family. “We appreciate the love and concern of our friends and well-wishers who have shown genuine concern for the health and wellbeing of our beloved Olori. We wish to state categorically that she is hale and hearty and going about her royal business as usual. We wish to use this opportunity to warn those who derive pleasure in peddling falsehood to desist from such acts as the palace will not hesitate to take legal action against anyone caught in the act,” the statement concluded. The statement by the Elegushi Royal Family has put to rest the rumors surrounding the health of Oloro Sekinat, one of the wives of Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi.

In recent news, a popular social media influencer known as Kusssman has caused a stir online after accusing Nigerian music superstar Davido and his newly signed artist Logos Olori of sampling a song without permission or paying royalties. The song in question is titled “Ahead Ahead,” and it is allegedly the intellectual property of Kusssman’s artist Shallipopi, Gist Reel gathered.

Kusssman took to Twitter to make the accusations and shared video clips of Shallipopi singing his song “Ahead Ahead” while comparing it to another video of Davido and Logos Olori doing a track together, which he claimed was inspired by his artist’s work. The media personality went further to call out Davido and Logos Olori, stating that the act of sampling without proper clearance or compensation is unacceptable and disrespectful to the original creators of the music. The allegation has since caused a major conversation among fans of Nigerian music, with many taking sides on the issue. Some fans have shown their support for Kusssman and Shallipopi, while others have defended Davido and Logos Olori, stating that sampling is a common practice in the music industry. Sensational Afrobeats musician, Davido has opened up on how he met his latest two DMW artistes, Morravey and Logos Olori.

In a recent podcast, the DMW boss revealed that he had found Morravey when he came across an Instagram reel of her cover of one of Fireboy’s song and picked interest because she had a beautiful singing voice. He decided to go through the comment section, searching for her Instagram handle; he said that there were over 400 comments and he went through almost 300 of them before he could find her Instagram page.

He messaged her immediately, telling her he would make her a star. Davido said that she was starstruck and was finding it difficult expressing herself clearly. She requested a video call in order to verify with her own eyes that he’s truly the one who had messaged her, and after the call, he sent her some money to freshen herself up; he had also paid her and her friends’ flight tickets to come to Lagos to record a track.

He said that he was highly impressed with her songwriting skills and decided to add her to his music album, Timeless. On his meeting with Logos Olori, he revealed that he had met him through Magicsticks (Asake’s audio engineer) whom he had been coming together with to the music studio. The press secretary to the monarch, Alli Ibrahim, released a statement on Wednesday evening of March 15, 2023, to inform the public about the new addition to their family. “Oluwo expressed appreciation to Olodumare (God) for blessing my home with the handsome, promising child,” the statement read. “Carrying a baby for months is tasking. I congratulate my queen on the arrival of a new child. She deserves accolades. I have strong trust in whatever comes out of her womb. The child shall be greater and be prosperous than me. Once again, congratulations to my beautiful, elegant, respectful and loving queen Firdaus.”

Olori Firdaus welcomes first child

In a post via Instagram, Oluwo of Iwo celebrated the birth of his child with his 155K followers while expressing gratitude. “Olodumare Oseun o !! I thank God Almighty for a blessed beautiful Child through my beautiful Queen…. hip hip hip hurray 😃😍 I’m blessed,” he wrote. It would be recalled that the monarch’s last marriage to a Jamaican, Chanel Chin, which produced a son, crashed in December 2019. Chanel called out the monarch for allegedly being an abuser around when he took in Olori Firdaus.
