In a surprising turn of events, guests at a recent party hosted by popular rapper, Odumodublvck, were left in awe as a physically challenged fan gave up his crutches to the artiste during his performance. According to reports, the rapper held up the crutches while continuing his performance, much to the excitement of fans.

Attendees took to social media to share photos and videos of the unforgettable moment, which had people questioning whether a miracle had occurred. One guest who witnessed the incident took to Twitter to share a photo of Odumodublvck raising the crutches to the sky while performing on stage.

Another guest added that the physically challenged man willingly gave up his walking stick to the rapper. The highlight of the night, however, was when the same man who had given up his crutches was somehow able to dance without it. The unexpected turn of events left many guests shocked and amazed. The incident has since gone viral on social media and got people talking. See below;

Nigerian Afrobeats musician, Davido recently revealed that he engages in prayer before every live performance.

In a feature published by Forbes, the head of DMW spoke about the magazine’s latest edition of Afrobeats All-Star: Pioneering The New Global Sound. The singer of “FEM” informed the publication that his crew is well aware of his habit of entrusting his performances to God prior to hitting the stage. Davido cited his father, Mr. Adedeji Adeleke, as someone who taught him a lot about Christianity and living a modest life. He stated that he gained significant insights from observing his father in the workplace, listening to him on the phone, and witnessing his approach to life. “I learned so much from being around my dad, watching him in the office, hearing him on the phone, seeing how he handled life. He’s very humble, principled and a strong Christian. Before I step on any stage, my team knows not to mess with my prayers.” He said.

Burna Boy reportedly makes $750K following performance at 2023 Coachella

Grammy award-winning artist, Burna Boy, reportedly received a payment of $750,000 (N577.5M) for his performance at the 2023 Coachella.

The Coachella event took place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California and was held over two weekends, which started on April 14 and ending on April 16, 2023. Burna Boy entertained the audience for 50 minutes on Friday, April 14, and allegedly earned $750k as his booking fee. Business journalist Trung Phan revealed that the headliner and other musicians in the first row were paid $4 million, while a lower amount was fixed for those on the second row, where Burna Boy was placed. “Interesting rule-of-thumb for the Coachella poster. Graham Potter has reacted to the criticism he has faced lately following Chelsea’s poor performance in major competitions in spite of the huge amount spent to bring in new star players in two transfer windows. Though Chelsea has splashed out around £600 million ($723m) across the last two transfer windows, Potter has only gotten nine wins from 25 games. The 47-year-old who was handed the managerial reins at Stamford Bridge in September 2022, has said that he is “not stupid” and recognises that “people want something different” from the club. He told reporters; “I am not stupid or naive. My job is to keep going and keep helping and supporting the team and take that criticism. You can only be yourself and try your best while being yourself. I get it that when you are losing that there’s always something you should do or change. I have always been this way and it has gotten me to this point but, at the same time, I know people want something different.” Potter further listed some of the challenges he’s faced so far and which have impacted negatively on the club’s performance. He added; “There is transition and there’s factors but, at the same time, when the team is losing and we’ve had the results we’ve had then you can also understand it. We’ve invested in some young players, if you look at Enzo [Fernandez], [Noni] Madueke and [Mykhailo] Mudryk, they haven’t played that many games. They are learning to play in the Premier League. We’re managing quite an unprecedented injury list — so you have to manage that in the Premier League. All that is true but, unfortunately when you lose, it is not what people want to hear. I know my quality and I know what I have done in my career but I also understand than when results don’t go your way that you are open to criticism and that’s fair.”

Penalty rules changed after Emiliano Martinez’s irksome performance at World Cup final

New penalty rules are set to be enforced in international football after Argentina goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez’s antics during the World Cup final with France in December 2022.

Recall that Martinez had defended his mind games after the final which Argentina won. He said at the time; “It’s a moment that I always have to give to my teammates, they scored three goals against me and it hurt, but then I did everything right. It was a game of suffering, just two efforts against us and they drew level with us. “It is in this moment that I have to give my teammates peace of mind. I could have stopped it [Mbappe’s penalty] too, I dived badly. But then I did everything right. I have no words for it. “I was calm during the penalty shootout and everything went as we wanted. All that I have dreamed of has been achieved. To my family, I came from a very humble place, I left when I was very young to England and I want to dedicate it to them.”

Martinez’s antics also attracted criticism from Arsenal legend, Ian Wright. He alleged that the goalkeeper “crossed the line”. Speaking to Ringer’s FC podcast three days after the final, Wright said; “I look at Emi Martinez, remember the s***housery with Auba [Martinez tried to put off Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang when he stepped up to take a penalty against Aston Villa in October 2021] and all that stuff he was doing at Arsenal. “I was thinking this guy is going to go to another level of s***housery if this final goes to penalties. And he did. I like Emi but what he did in the penalty shootout crossed the line, in respect of sportsmanship. He crossed the line.” Football lawmakers are now set to ban goalkeepers from distracting penalty-takers. According to The Sun, the International Football Association Board (IFAB) is set to introduce new rules to ban keepers from acting in a way that puts off opponents from the spot.

IFAB’s new rules may also stop goalkeepers from dancing or making amusing gestures on the goal line as that is also seen as a distraction. The new penalty rules will be ratified at IFAB’s annual general meeting in March before they are officially introduced into the laws of the game.

The singer makes his first performance today, the 18th of December 2022 after weeks away from the public’s reach; the same day he returned to social media to roll out photos with his wife, Chioma.
Davido, who was one of three artists behind the FIFA World Cup soundtrack, performed moments before the kick-off of the final match between Argentina and France.
Along with Trinidad Cardona and Aisha, O.B.O performed the official World Cup soundtrack “Hayya Hayya” in the stadium in Doha.

Davido who will be performing over the weekend at the closing events of the World Cup would make it his first live show following the passing of his first son, Ifeanyi Adeleke Jr.
O.B.O also got a customized acknowledgement of his presence in the country with a billboard display that read, “The biggest artist in Africa, Baddest.”

Reacting, Rema via his verified Twitter page pointed fingers of blame at the show’s organizers.

Blaming his performance on logistics, the singer said: “Whoever came for Afronation day 1 knew the sound was BAD. 2 second delay feedback from the mic, no in-ear monitors for Artists to keep track of the audio the audience was receiving.
“Let’s not even talk about provisions they make for Artists to come with ‘bands’ still I made use of Live sessions at first and I cut it off & improvised cause I wasn’t satisfied with the sound, I even complained on stage. One thing leads to another, know this! But I just can’t watch people take shots @ me and my brother, Omah Lay. Lastly, we’ll all learn, grow & do better, As artists & Organizers, Peace.”
