Rema Announces Concert At The 02 Arena, London
Afrobeats superstar, Rema, will headline his first show at the 20,000 capacity O2 Arena, London on the 14th of November, 2023. The Nigerian music superstar who clocked 23 on May 1st, took to announcing this via his Twitter page. He’s set to follow his Afrobeats predecessors Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy to sell out the O2 Arena. The Calm Down crooner is certainly not calming down. Recently, he announced a Rema Calm Down India Tour where he enjoys a colossal fanbase. The tour will have him headline and perform in multiple cities between May 12 and 14. In a recent interview with i-D Magazine he talked about changing the world’s perspective of African music, “I see myself as the bridge to take African music to the whole world. I changed the sound. I changed the perspective. The template is mine.”
Relationship in this generation is all about financial gains – Rema
Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema has opined that a lot of relationships in this generation are centred on making money. The young and talented singer made this assertion during a recent interview with i-D Meets podcast.
Rema’s favourite lyrics from his debut album ‘Rave & Roses’ is ‘love is not a source of income,’ which came from personal experience. The singer went on to note that he cannot define love because everyone must live their version. In his words: “My favourite lyric in my album [is] ‘Love is not a source of income’. It came from my actual experience. A lot of relationships in our new generation is just really all about the gains. “It’s painful that I can’t really define love. You’ve to live your own version. I have not lived my version. I’m waiting for it though.”

Nigerian record producer, Don Jazzy, has revealed the aspects of his signee and colleague, Rema that he finds appealing.
According to Don Jazzy, Rema possesses many talents, a clear vision, and always strives to be unique. Additionally, Don Jazzy notes that Rema is very respectful despite his success.
“One ke? There are plenty things. One his vision is clear, he know what he Wants he knows how he seed himself and how to get there. He vision is very clear, some artists don have vision. “Two, he is very respectful. Umm three, he is a master of his craft. Rema has bee described as a mummy’s boy after he made a recent disclosure about giving his mother the first N1 million he made from his music career at age 17. Achraf Hakimi went viral a few days ago after news went round that his wife was going to get nothing in terms of money or properties when she divorces her husband because Hakimi had used his mother’s name on all the properties he has acquired; including all the monies he had in his account. After the video of the two men popped up online, many people have speculated the reason why Rema gave all his money to his mother. Some are of the opinion that he sort advise from Hakimi. Afrobeat crooner, David Adeleke, better known as Davido has dished Rema his flowers and also shared how proud of him he is.
The singer, who has just released a fresh album, Timeless, and has been performing across stages was a guest on a UK radio. He got asked by the interviewer of what he thinks of Afrobeats current global position and if he is proud. Davido responded on a positive note. Referencing Rema, the singer noted that he is “proud of Rema” and his craft. According to him, no one ever thought Rema would be the one with the highest Afrobeat charting song ever with his song, Calm Down. He also stated that he is glad the entertainment industry is booming.

Popular singer, Rema, has broken silence regarding rumours of a clash with a fellow artiste, Davido. In a recent interview, the young singer debunked such claims, stating that he has always respected his senior colleagues.
Recall, the rumour made headlines after Rema was spotted venting online in 2020. It was alleged that Davido had slapped him at the BBNaija 2020 finale, which was won by reality TV star Laycon. According to alleged reports, Rema’s bouncers ignored Laycon and other housemates who wanted to take selfies with him, leading to an argument with Davido and the alleged incident. However, Rema has cleared the air, stating that there’s no bad blood between himself and Davido. Sensational Afrobeats star, Divine Ikubor popularly known as Rema, marks four years anniversary in the Nigerian music industry.
Rema became a music sensation after releasing his hit single Dumebi after he signed a contract with Jonzing World, an offshoot of Mavin Records in 2019, and has since then been releasing hit tracks on a steady. The talented music artist took to his Twitter page to reveal that it’s the fourth year since he hit the spot light in the Nigerian music space. He thanked his fans for sticking with him through the four years and listening to his songs. Sharing his photo, he wrote: “4 years in the game, so many records to my name, catalogue insane, thanks for sticking w my crazy ass now let’s go AGAIN! 👊🏾💥”

Young music star, Rema has revealed that he has ditched his UNILAG admission and is focusing fully on his music.
You may recall that the 22-year-old musician had revealed that he gained admission to University of Lagos last year to satisfy his mum’s wish for him to complete his education. However, a month after his admission, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) went on a 7 months strike. The singer who never returned to begin his education at the institution has finally opened up on his reasons for not doing so. In a recent interview with a Caucasian host of Count Down Radio, he revealed that he had decided to bail on it because the university went on strike.
This left the white host surprised as he apparently hasn’t heard of universities going on strike. Speaking further, Rema said that it was beginning to seem awkward for him to juggle both schooling and touring, so he had to dump school and focus on his music career fully.
