Recall that Rema featured the talented singer on the remix of his hit single, ‘Calm Down’ as part of his 2022 music album, Rave & Roses. In a recent interview on KISS FM, the singer shared his experience with the sonorous American songstress. He verified the common assumption that the music diva has a sweet personality.

Rema revealed that he had felt anxious at first because he didn’t know how well they’d flow when they speak, but everything smoothed out and it felt like talking to his big sister. The 22-year-old singer added that they had a lot of fun collaborating together; he spoke on getting her to eat Nigerian food, which she said she’d be willing to try. In the video, the duo were spotted in very close proximity as they talked to each other with Rema seemingly struggling to maintain eye contact.

The 44th President of the United States took to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter, to share his favourite playlist of the year 2022.
Last Last by Burna Boy made the first appearance as a Nigerian artiste followed by Ayra Starr ‘s Rush, and lastly Calm Down by Rema.
Sharing the tweet, Barack Obama emphasized the love behind spreading his favourite playlist while asking to know other songs to add.
“I always enjoy sharing my end of year music playlist with all of you — and this year we heard a lot of great songs. Here are some of my favorites.
Are there any songs or artists I should check out?” he wrote.

He said:
“Ayra is a vibe. It got to a point that I just could not go out or party without Ayra, because she’s a vibe. She get ginger. Bayanni, Boy Spyce..we all just connect on different levels. I feel like Bayanni and I connect well in the studio. Boy Spyce is talented.”

Rema expresses grief over the passing of Don Jazzy's mum

Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, is deeply saddened by the passing of Don Jazzy’s mother.
Don Jazzy, a music entrepreneur and founder of Marvin Records, had informed Nigerians a few hours ago that he has lost his lovely mother to cancer.

Reacting, his ex-signee, Rema regretted the news as he mourns with a note on his Instastory.
The singer wrote: “Mama I’ll miss you.”

Don Jazzy’s announcement of his mum’s passing reads: “I lost my sweet mother this morning. The matriarch of our family. My supporter and backbone @indianpicolo.
“I am beyond devastated. I have never felt pain like this in my life but I am consoled by the good life she lived. She was loved by everyone that ever met her. She was so strong till the last minute for us even while she battled with cancer.
“I have never typed a more difficult caption in my life. Please pray for our Mums soul to Rest In Peace and for strength for my dad, my siblings, her grandchildren and our entire family to bear this loss.”

Reacting, Rema via his verified Twitter page pointed fingers of blame at the show’s organizers.

Blaming his performance on logistics, the singer said: “Whoever came for Afronation day 1 knew the sound was BAD. 2 second delay feedback from the mic, no in-ear monitors for Artists to keep track of the audio the audience was receiving.
“Let’s not even talk about provisions they make for Artists to come with ‘bands’ still I made use of Live sessions at first and I cut it off & improvised cause I wasn’t satisfied with the sound, I even complained on stage. One thing leads to another, know this! But I just can’t watch people take shots @ me and my brother, Omah Lay. Lastly, we’ll all learn, grow & do better, As artists & Organizers, Peace.”

The University of Lagos (UniLag) has reacted after popular singer, Divine Ikubor AKA Rema, complained that ASUU strike was stopping him from resuming school.

The singer had yesterday complained that since he gained admission, he hadn’t entered a class and begged for an end to the prolonged strike.

Bowen University had jumped on the opportunity to entice the singer with an offer to come to their university since they’re not, and won’t delay him with strike.
Reacting to this, Rema had noticed unilag that a private university was ‘toasting’ him.
He wrote:
“Unilag private university don dey Toast me o, I’m blushing omg stop it.”

To which UniLag said:
“Hmm… Rema dear, UNILAG has chosen you o, Hmm… so don’t let anybody come dey change your mind o… Rema no dey vex for us o.”

Rema then replied:
“Awww Unilag end the strike or I will go ooo, we want to go back to school pls the youths are not happy!”

UniLag replied with: “Baby calm down.”
