Spyro remembers late mentor Sound Sultan in a heartfelt open letter

Nigerian musician, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro recently wrote an open letter to his late mentor Sound Sultan, who passed away on July 11, 2021, in the United States after battling Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.

In a recent Instagram post, Spyro reminisced about all the good deeds Sound Sultan did for him and acknowledged his immense contribution to his success. Spyro stated that he misses his mentor and cannot count his blessings without him.

Spyro expressed regret that Sound Sultan is not here to witness his success but thanked him for all he taught him. “I MISS YOU mentor … I cannot COUNT MY BLESSINGS without you. Today thoughts of how you fed me, clothed me and accepted me when nobody did come rushing back. “I remember a night we were to go for an event and I, as usual, came so unkept and fashion-less but while others laughed at me, you went up to your room and brought your cloth down for me to wear. “I wish you are here to see all that is happening. I remember how I would always tell you I would make you proud and it’s sad you ain’t here now . Thank you for all you taught me and did for me … Till we meet again jest on in power.” He wrote. It would be recalled that the “Motherland” crooner passed away on July 11, 2021, after battling a medical condition known as Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma. 2face who shared a close connection with Sound Sultan when he was alive took to his Instagram page to express how much he missed his presence.
