Fuel prices to shoot up to N700 per litre in July

Oil marketers have projected a new price of petrol saying that it could rise above N700 per litre in Northern Nigeria effective July. Mike Osatuyi, the National Controller Operations, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, during an interview with The PUNCH, said that prices of petrol could rise to above N700 per litre in the north after the importation of petroleum products commences from July.

Source: Google According to Mike Osatuyi, people from the northern states could pay as much as N700 and above for one litre of petrol, while residents outside Lagos may pay N610 per litre and residents in Lagos would pay about N600 per litre. “What I am seeing is around N600 and above, depending on the exchange rate, the current crude price at the international market and the landing cost. Those in Lagos will pay around N600, those outside Lagos around N600 plus, while those in the north would be paying anything from N700 and above,” he said.

In Chicago, a distressing incident unfolded at a fast-food joint, resulting in the death of a man and the subsequent arrest of a 14-year-old son and his mother. The altercation took place at Maxwell Street Express when an argument erupted between 35-year-old Carlishia Hood and 32-year-old Jeremy Brown. During the heated exchange, Carlishia reached out to her teenage son, who was waiting in the car. Report revealed that as the argument escalated, Jeremy resorted to physically assaulting Carlishia, repeatedly striking her head with force. In response to witnessing his mother’s assault, the 14-year-old retrieved a firearm and shot Jeremy in the back. Attempting to escape, Jeremy fled the restaurant, but the young teenager pursued him outside, firing additional shots. Tragically, Jeremy sustained two gunshot wounds to his back and later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Following the incident, Carlishia and her son turned themselves in to the authorities on Thursday. They now face charges of first-degree murder. Additionally, Carlishia has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. During their court appearances, Carlishia’s bond was set at $3 million, and she is scheduled to return to court on July 12. Meanwhile, her son was ordered to be held without bail and is expected to appear in court on July 25th. TG Omori has finally succumbed to pressure after getting called out severally by street artist, Portable over a music video shoot.

We earlier reported that Portable created a scene on social media after he was billed $5,0000 by Omori to shoot. Boy director replied, indicating that Portbale was well aware of his actions. He implied that the singer was only trying to use a strategy earlier employed by Blaqbonez. Nonethelss, Portable did not fail to keep calling out TG Omori, he shared a couple of videos on his official social media page to this effect. After several online harassments, TG Omori finally asked Portable to send his song to him. He, however, noted that he was not mad at Portable and that he completely understood his plight. “Portable send your new song make we shoot. Just like everybody I love portable and I’m not mad at him, if I was him I’ll feel the same way knowing i might never have a video better than zazoo. E reach to call the director out 7times everyday.
