Nigerian singer and songwriter, Stanley Omah Didia, better known as Omah Lay, has bragged about his songwriting skills, noting that he is the best in the niche.
The artiste’s self-praise is coming shortly after Nigerian award-winning artiste, Burna Boy affirmed that his colleagues, Wizkid and Davido, who are among Africa’s richest musicians are not richer than him.
In an earlier tweet, Burna Boy had also claimed he is the highest paid artiste in the history of African music.
“I said money doesn’t satisfy me and it’s my Truth but it Doesn’t change the fact that I’m the highest paid artiste in the History of African music. Believe it or not,” Burna Boy had tweeted.
Amid heightened discussion on the controversy surrounding Burna Boy’s claims, Omah Lay drew attention to his writing prowess as he distances himself from the list of Africa’s richest artistes.
In a tweet that has since received backlash, Omah Lay wrote: “Hahaha! Nobody comes close to me with the pen.”
More so, reactions shrouded the tweet as many disagreed with him just as they disagreed with Burna Boy’s claim of being Africa’s highest paid artiste.
