The first goal was very suspicious - Croatia's coach speaks after defeat to Argentina

Croatia’s coach, Zlatko Dalic has questioned the decision to award Argentina a penalty during last night’s semi-final match that ended 3-0 in favour of the South American team.

Argentina was awarded the penalty which Lionel Messi converted, after Julian Alvarez collided with Croatia’s goalkeeper, Dominik Livakovic in the European team’s box after poking the ball beyond his reach.

Addressing reporters after the match which saw Argentina progress to the finals of the 2022 World Cup, Dalic said the penalty which was awarded was too cheap and easy.
He said;
“The first goal as very suspicious, to be honest. First, we had the situation with the corner. Apparently [we should have had] a corner, according to the reaction of our players. Then we had the situation with the penalty… It was a little bit too cheap and easy.”
