An underfed lion feeding on grass in a caged environment at a zoo in Nigeria sparks mixed reactions across the internet space. A video making the rounds on social media captured the moment a flesh-eating (carnivorous) animal switched to survival instincts and fed on grass like goats and other herbivores. Feeding on grass is a result of the poor nutritional supply to the lion as seen at a yet-to-be-identified zoo in Nigeria.

The video has since sparked mixed reactions, some of which attributed it to the economy of the country while others expressed concerns for the lion. Nigerian singer, Portable, has announced his submission to Nigerian laws after getting remanded in Ilaro correctional centre. In a recent video, the controversial singer noted that he learnt a lot and received ‘sense’ after getting to Ilaro.

“If you reach Ilaro, you’ll have sense; I’ve learnt a lot in Ilaro. There’s another life in the Zoo”, Portable said. Recall, an Ogun Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ifo, had remanded Portable, in Ilaro correctional centre, pending the perfection of his bail conditions. The singer landed in police custody on Friday, March 31, 2023, on a six-count charge bordering on assault. He had a fight with police officers at his bar, during which one of them was allegedly injured. Watch the video below:

“I began working in the zoo at 6, my dream is to become a veterinary doctor”

An 11-year-old boy identified simply as Chibuike has wowed netizens due to the passion he has for taking care of animals.
The boy shared his story during an interview with the Delta-born vlogger, Lucky Udu who has over 600K followers on Facebook.

Chibuike in the video showed viewers different species of animals in the zoo and gave a vivid description of them with so much ease.
According to the boy who is currently schooling, he began visiting and working in the zoo when he was 6 years old and has subsequently developed a rare passion when it comes to taking care of animals.
He stated that his dream is to become a veterinary doctor. His mother who was also incorporated in the interview disclosed that Chibuike is her 5th child out of six children.

She disclosed that he developed an interest in being a zoo keeper due to the fact that she always brought him to the zoo which is her place of work.
When asked if she was against her son being a veterinary doctor owing to the erroneous belief that they earn little in Nigeria, the woman avowed that she believes everyone can attain success in any type of business as long as the passion is strong.
Going by the video, Chibuike has learned a lot about animals.
