"We still qualify las las"

Nigerian afro-pop artist, David Adeleke a.k.a Davido, has stirred mixed reactions among Nigerians and Ghanaians just after he was featured on the official soundtrack of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The ace singer, who referenced the Super Eagles’ failure to beat the Black Stars of Ghana and qualify for the forthcoming World Cup, triggered mixed feelings with a tweet saying: “No de wamba, we still qualify las las.”
His tweet, however, didn’t sit well with many, especially Ghanaian football fans who have since ridiculed Nigerians with their World Cup qualification that came at Nigeria’s expense.
A Nigerian netizen wrote: “@davido saved us from Ghana; If Ghanaian tell me say I [Nigeria] no qualified; I go asked them if any of their musician don sing for world cup. I’m undefeated. Las Las na draw.”
@Fgoldoee, a Ghanaian football fan replied: “Lie, although I congratulat Davido, you can’t take it away that we beat Nigeria to be in Qatar.”

Another Ghanaian football fan wrote: “Nigerians too de brag, thank God we beat una.”
