In an exclusive interview with Legit.ng, 20-year-old Nigerian lady, Splendour Emmanuel hailing from Anambra, has shed light on her reasons for aspiring to join the Nigerian military, specifically the Nigerian Air Force. The passionate young lady, whose determination has already garnered attention, revealed the driving force behind her ambitious pursuit. Splendour, who recently celebrated success in her National Examinations Council (NECO) exam, opened up about her deep-seated desire to serve in the armed forces.

Despite facing a five-year gap since completing secondary school, Splendour’s commitment to her dreams remains unshaken. When questioned about her motivation for choosing a military career. “No specific reason. Just the passion to be in the job. The passion is motivating me.” Splendour said. The young lady gained social media attention in October after sharing her success on Facebook. Despite initial setbacks due to academic hurdles, Splendour remains resolute in her pursuit. Notably, she has gone the extra mile by obtaining army camouflage from her military connections. Addressing her familial support, Splendour disclosed that her parents stand firmly behind her decision to join the Nigerian Air Force. “They are in full support.” she said. Currently, Splendour is a member of the MOD (Man of Order and Discipline), a paramilitary organization in the Catholic Church.
