Haitian singer, rapper, and actor Wyclef Jean was reportedly accused of been a petrol station thief by Los Angeles police officers.
The 47-year-old rapper according to reports says he was in the studio with artiste T-Baby when the petrol station robbery took place and claims he was only stopped by the police because he was a black man in a bandana, which matched the identity of the robber.
He posted a video on social media, and he captioned it:
“LAPD another case of mistaken identity. Black man with red bandana robbed a gas station as I was in the studio working but im in handcuffs? “coming from the studio with T-Baby, y’all see the police have handcuffs on me, they just took off my Haitian bandana”. The LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) have me in cuffs for absolutely nothing.”
