Tension grips residents as police officers clash with commercial motorcyclists in Idi-Araba, Lagos State following the recently imposed Okada ban.
Recall that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had imposed a ban on the operations of Okada riders in six Local Government Areas of the state after a group of riders burnt a man identified as David Imoh to death over N100M.
The ban which was expected to commence on June 1 didn’t witness effective compliance as the police had to effect it by force by seizing several motorcycles.
Unfortunately, in a bid to enforce the ban at Idi-Araba, some Okada riders revolted which created unrest in the environs.
In some clips, fire was already set and scuffles between police officers and the Okada riders could be seen.
