"I’ve been getting death threats, I cover my face when going out" – Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi

Wunmi Aloba, the widow of the late musician IleriOluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, has disclosed that she has received death threats. On Tuesday, November 7, she testified at the Coroner’s Inquest in the Lagos neighbourhood of Ikorodu. Omowunmi stated that the threats have prompted her to wear a face mask anytime she goes out. Mohbad died in his room on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in the afternoon, long before he was confirmed dead owing to previous incidences of bullying, psychological damage, and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency arrest, according to his mother.

Omowunmi stated that she was in the kitchen at the time, and when she returned, she saw the nurse injecting him and heard Mohbad tell the nurse to remove the syringe. She went on to tell the coroner that they had to rush him to the hospital at that point. He was in the back seat of the car, she said, when the driver said his hands were already cold.
