Music band. The kidnappers are said to have kidnapped Omoba De Jumbo Beats and his music band. Where the incident had happened is yet to be ascertained, but it was learned that the kidnappers are demanding 10 million naira ransom for each person. About Seven members of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) who were abducted in Rivers State have been freed after payment of ransom. Reports say these seven corps members were abducted by some gunmen on their way to Port Harcourt from the NYSC orientation camp in Ondo State. Corps Members It was reported that when the gunmen attacked the bus conveying the corps members, five of them were able to escape while the other seven were abducted. In a new development, it has been reported that the seven corps members who were kidnapped were freed around Choba in Obio/Akpor local government area after a ransom was paid. “They were released around 9. I saw seven of them that were released, two girls and five boys. According to one of the parents that came there that day, they paid a ransom. They were in horrible condition. It was like they used mud in robbing them and if you see their body, maybe they were bitten by mosquitoes or sand-fly in the bush. They went to report themselves at the police station where it happened and they took their statement and tried to see if they could get their belongings”, a man who claimed to be an in-law of one of the abducted corps members said. The spokesperson of the command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko has also confirmed the release of the corps members during an interview with Channels TV. “I have just contacted the Rumuji Police Division. The corpers have been released. The command will make an official statement on that on Thursday.” she added.

The corpse of the former ex-CBN staff assassinated on New year in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Oreoluwa Fatinoye has been found dead in a river.

It would be recalled that some unknown gunmen broke into the residence of the former staff of CBN within the Ibara Government Reservation Area (GRA), Abeokuta, and murdered the parents of Oreoluwa.
According to rumors, the deceased Oreoluwa was kidnapped alongside their maid in his parent’s residence in Ogun State after Kehinde and Bukola Fatinoye were killed.
On Tuesday, January 3rd, 2022, some fishermen discovered the decomposing body of a young man later identified as Oreoluwa floating on the river.
According to Daily Trust, both hands of the deceased were tied with rope to his back, apparently before he was thrown into the river.
The fisherman, Idowu Taiwo who discovered the body said;
“On Monday, we heard that someone was thrown into this river, but this morning while we were preparing for work, the police approached us and pleaded with us to inform them any time we discover the body.
“But, this morning, around 7.30, we discovered the body while we were checking on our equipment in the river. I called someone to help us get the number of the PPRO to tell him that we have discovered the body.
“Not long after, the police came and we showed them the body after we had brought it to the river bank.”

Mixed reactions are trailing the sudden appearance of one Mrs Mary Ngoshe, who, according to the Nigerian Army, is believed to be one of the kidnapped girls from Government Girls’ Secondary School, Chibok, in 2014.
Reports by The PUNCH say troops of the 26 Task Force Brigade, on Tuesday, found her with a child believed to be hers.

She was intercepted by the troops that were on patrol around Ngoshe in Borno State.
A tweet posted on the Nigerian Army’s Twitter page, on Wednesday morning, reads, “Troops of 26 Task Force Brigade on patrol around Ngoshe in Borno State on 14 June 2022 intercepted one Mrs Mary Ngoshe and her son. She is believed to be one of the abducted girls from GGSS Chibok in 2014. Further exploitation ongoing.”

A man Identified as Idowu Shaba, a 55-year-old cocoa merchant has miraculously escaped from the hands of his captors who were sleeping.


Sources reveal that the business man was abducted by some unknown miscreants while en route to Ani at Ose Local Government Area of Ondo state on Saturday.
Reports have claimed that, prior to the man’s escape with another lady, the ransome which had been demanded by the kidnappers was N10 million.
According to the source:
“After the abductors saw that the victims had slept off, they too fell asleep. Shaba seized the opportunity to carry their weapons and used their sharp cutlasses to kill two of them and wounded another who ran away.
“He took his abductors’ Ak-47 rifles, cutlasses, and other dangerous weapons in their possession and he used the opportunity to rescue the other lady and both escaped.”

Confirming the incident to Punch, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, the PRO of the state police stated that the man didn’t kill his captors.
The PRO said:
“The victim did not tell the police that he killed the abductors. He just said he escaped while the kidnappers had fallen asleep”
