Nigerian professional mixed martial artist and kickboxer, Israel Oluwafemi Adesanya. The kickboxer was heard telling the footballer, “I’ll come watch one of your football games.” He went on to comment on the height of the footballer, saying, “You’re pretty tall; I didn’t know you were this tall.” Ronaldo laughed at the statement as they both hugged and parted ways. Ronaldo, Adesanya lead star-studded guest list to attend Fury vs Ngannou fight

Cristiano Ronaldo and Nigeria’s UFC champion Isreal Adesanya are among top guests to watch the fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou. The much anticipated fight titled “Battle of the Baddest“, set in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday night is making waves and would see star-studded guest list featuring sporting giants and A-list celebrities. Not only will it be contested in two separate venues, the fight will also feature a specially crafted championship belt. Meanwhile, Ronaldo, a good friend of Ngannou will make it for the fight after after the match between Al Nassr and Saudi Pro League rivals Al Feiha by 4pm WAT. MMA superstar Conor McGregor has also announced his attendance, and would be at the venue with fellow MMA icon Israel Adesanya, among others. Furthermore, WWE legend The Undertaker will also be present, as well as boxing champions and legends Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao who had the richest fight in history in 2015. Ngannou’s trainer and Heavyweight icon Mike Tyson, will be at the ringside. Fury’s rival and world champion Oleksandr Usyk, is also expected to attend, among many more others. Fury vs Ngannou has made headlines in the past months and could be one of the biggest fights the sport has seen in recent times. The bout marks Ngannou’s professional boxing debut, after crossing from MMA. He faces a tough opponent Fury, who is the reigning, undefeated heavyweight World Boxing Champion (WBC). Nollywood actress, Ifu Ennada recently expressed her affection for UFC’s middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya.

Ennada admires Adesanya’s confidence, good looks, and humor, citing his recent mocking of Pereira’s son as an example. She also stated that she would love to go on a date with him if he were interested. In her words; “I used to be a big fan of wrestling until I discovered that their matches were scripted, I also like boxing but I don’t really follow it. What I follow now is the MMA and there are some Nigerians there like Israel Adesanya and Kamaru Usman.

“My favourite would be Israel, and aside the fact that he is extremely handsome and hot, the fact that he is also petty, I love it. What he did to Pereira’s son by mocking him the way he mocked him after he won, I love it, some people were saying ‘why’, and I’m like ‘why not?’ I like the fact that he looked for the guy and gave it back to him. “I know he is an adult but that is something someone like me would do, so, I love him for that. He is very confident, I just love Izzy, he walks into a room and you can feel his energy, and that is the type of person I am as well. If he wants to go on a date with me, why not? “I was so happy, especially because he had lost to that guy three times before. I was delighted really and I left a comment on social media on a blog I follow, where I said, ‘a win for one is a win for all’ and someone even came at me, trying to bring politics into it because Izzy is Yoruba, and the person said something like ‘Igbos only choose to be Nigerian when it is convenient.’ And I just realised that this was coming from a tribalistic person. “I have always seen myself as a Nigerian, regardless of my tribe. I don’t see Yoruba, I don’t see Igbo and it is sad that someone will bring tribalism into sports. I almost placed a bet on the game actually. I had a feeling that Israel would win it, I think I forgot to tell a friend to place a bet on Izzy.”

The MMA fighter who recently won his match against Pereira expressed his love for his come country while sharing his perspective on Nigeria’s corruption on the Hotboxin’ podcast. According to Israel, he loves Nigeria but the country is a very corrupt place. He said that the government and some of its people are always looking for ways to siphon money from the country’s coffers or to cheat others of their money. Following the success of his most recent match, Nigerian mixed martial artist, Israel Adesanya was spotted in a viral video celebrating his win alongside his colleague, Usman Kamaru, and popular Nigerian musician, Adekunle Gold.

Adesanya on Sunday morning at the FTX Arena in Miami, Florida, defeated Alex Pereira in the main event of UFC 287 to reclaim the UFC middleweight champion. Following the win, he alongside Nigerian colleagues and others was seen in the video dancing enthusiastically in the club. The celebration of Israel Adesanya’s victory came after an earlier failed attempt to reclaim the title lost to Pereira. Drake wins $2.7million as Israel Adesanya floored Alex Pereira

Drake has won a massive $2.7million after Israel Adesanya floored Alex Pereira at UFC 287 to reclaim the middleweight title. The Nigerian mixed martial artist won back the 185lb title just five months after he lost it to Pereira, who has previously beaten him twice in kickboxing. Reports have it that Drake lost the sum of $ 1.6 million after backing Adesanya to win in that fight but he made amends for the rapper in his rematch with Pereira.

The American rapper placed a $500,000 bet on Adesanya to win. Drake’s bet returned $885,000 and a $400,000 bet for him to win by knockout, returned a whopping $ 1.8 million. When asked about Drake’s bet after his fight, Adesanya said: “Shoutout to everyone that bet on me but you have to realise that when I step into the octagon I put my life on the line. That’s the biggest parlay you can ever do. I’m a betting man too so shoutout to stake, we are about to make another deal and get more money.”

On Sunday morning at the FTX Arena in Miami, Florida, Israel Adesanya became the new UFC middleweight champion after defeating Alex Pereira in the main event of UFC 287.

Pereira had initially been on the offence, throwing body hooks and a knee to Adesanya’s ribs, but then Adesanya surprised him with a right hook out of nowhere. This punch froze Pereira, similar to the end of their previous fight, but this time there was no buzzer to save him. Adesanya then dropped him with another punch, causing Pereira to go out cold. Adesanya celebrated his victory by mimicking firing arrows at his rival.

In their previous encounters, Adesanya had suffered a controversial points loss to Pereira in their first kickboxing match and was knocked out in their second rematch. In their first MMA clash, Adesanya was ahead but was ultimately beaten in the final round. After seven years and four fights, Adesanya finally claimed his victory over Pereira in a stunning fashion.
