Sowore rejects Buhari’s apology, lists reasons why Nigerians cannot forgive him

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore for 2023 general elections, has rejected an apology made by President Muhammadu Buhari as his administration comes to a close.

Buhari requested forgiveness from Nigerians on Friday, particularly those who may have been harmed while he carried out his duties. In response to Buhari’s apology, Sowore listed reasons why the President might never be absolved.

Sowore noted that the president’s policies not only harmed Nigeria but also dehumanized its citizens. He claimed that President Buhari’s wrongdoings would follow him for the rest of his life, and that his administration had caused great harm to Nigerians, including the destruction of businesses and innocent lives, as well as religious and ethnic divisions. “President @mbuhari you just didn’t hurt Nigeria, you dehumanised its citizens, you denied Nigerians of a decent life, you denied children, women, men -old and young- an opportunity to live and thrive. “You destroyed businesses, you took innocent lives, you destroyed the educational sector, you deprived the sick and infirm an opportunity to be nursed to health. “You unjustly detained and imprisoned many. You encouraged violence where you couldn’t carry it out yourself. You created division through religious bigotry and ethnicity. “Yourself, your family members , cronies and members of your cabal perpetrated untold corruption. You borrowed Nigeria back to the Stone Age! “Your tenure and the souls you ruined, lives you wasted , opportunities you crushed will continue to hunt and haunt your till the end of time!” Sowore tweeted. Nollywood actress, Esther Sky tackled her colleague Ruby Ojiakor, who had called out another colleague, Anita Joseph, and issued a stern warning regarding not questioning her when she doesn’t celebrate her achievements with her.

In the video making rounds on social media, Esther reminded Ruby Ojiakor that Anita Joseph had posted a picture of her back in December 2022, wishing her a happy birthday. Furthermore, she accused the actress of trying to gain pity from the public after receiving criticism for handing out money to children in a demeaning way.

Esther also urged Ruby to apologize to Anita Joseph instead of trying to seek attention.

UK government apologize to Peter Obi illegal detention

The British government has tendered an apology to the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi after he was wrongly fully detained by an immigration officer who had mistaken him for someone who impersonated him to commit some crimes.

It was also gathered from a statement released on the Labor Party website that the UK govt expressed that the unsavoury treatment had been totally unacceptable. “Frankly, the Immigration Official’s action – has been appalling – and we are sorry,” they quoted. Recall that the ex-Anambra governor was detained and questioned for a duplication violation, according to Diran Onifade, the party’s campaign council spokesman, who disclosed in a statement released on Wednesday, April 12. On Good Friday, April 7, 2023, Obi landed at Heathrow Airport in London from Nigeria and was confronted by immigration officers. He was given a detention note and instructed to move aside by the officials while he waited in line for the required airport procedures. Onifade said: “He was questioned for a long time and it was very strange for a man who lived for over a decade in that country. Since the impersonator is still at large, the scenario is unimaginable as Obi could be implicated in a series of forbidden acts and even be framed in a manner that could be a huge embarrassment to him, his family, his party, the obidient Movement, and indeed Nigeria, where he currently and indisputably remains the conscience of the people. The immigration officials who were also taken aback at the reaction of the people were forced to reveal that Obi was being questioned for a ‘DUPLICATION offense’ meaning that someone has been impersonating him in London. The high implication of the offense is that the impersonator could be committing all kinds of weighty crimes and other dubious acts and it would be recorded in Obi’s name.”

Phyna, the winner of the BBBNaija season 7 has tendered a heartfelt apology to her friend Bella after she unfollowed her on Instagram.

Bella, Sheggz, and Phyna have been close friends since the reality show ended. However, things turned south following the intervention of Internet trolls. Phyna had addressed Instagram critics who sent her photos of Bella and Sheggz to troll her. It would appear that Bella felt offended by her Tweet and in turn, unfollowed her on Instagram. The winner took to Twitter to apologize to her friend, Bella, adding that she never had the intention of trolling her. She also warns trolls never to come to her about anything related to BBN going forward.

A single mother of one says she owes her beautiful daughter tons of apologies for the kind of father she gave her. In a sad video shared on TikTok, she advised people to be careful about the person they have children with.
