The video, captioned and posted by a Twitter user @aniekennamdi15, has since caused a stir on social media, with many users expressing mixed reactions to the man’s actions. @aniekennamdi15 wrote; ” I think this is wrong….what do you think? While some applauded the man for his generosity and wished for such blessings, others were critical of his actions, describing them as disrespectful and inappropriate. Several users picked holes in the way the man threw the money at the couple, noting that it was not done in a respectful manner. Some also pointed out that the man was throwing scarce new naira notes at a wedding party, which they felt was unnecessary and insensitive. Enraged reactions surfaced after a police officer, allegedly soliciting a bribe, shot and killed a businessman, identified as Ibeh Onyeka, aka Onyi gadget, in Asaba, Delta State. On Wednesday morning, April 5, eyewitnesses stated that the phone merchant was travelling with his pregnant wife, whom he wedded three months prior, when he was fatally shot in the head. He was immediately transported to the Federal Medical Centre in Asaba, where he subsequently died. “He and his wife were on their way to work this morning when he was stopped by a team of police officers. They asked him for money and he gave them. “However, after a few mins drive, he ran into another set of police officers who demanded that he gives them money. They asked him for N100 but he said he doesn’t have any money with him because he had given his last cash to their colleagues. “One of the police officers cocked his gun and Onyi stepped on his accelerator but he was shot him in the head before he could move. He is very popular in Asaba, he got married three months ago and his wife is currently pregnant.” said an eye witness. Enraged youths were witnessed carrying Onyeka’s body to the police station as they protested and demanded justice.

Kingsley Celestino, a businessman, was apprehended by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) operatives with almost 10kg of heroin at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja Lagos. A young man identified as Ufuomma has shared a bitter encounter with Ikeja Disco over outrageous electricity bills he received.

The young man who operates a food joint shared how he was given outrageous energy bills from Ikeja Disco and had to report the case to the FCCPC. He disclosed that they were given bills between N150,000 and N200,000 each month which he found ridiculous.
According to him, he received a lot of threats and constant disconnection threats from one of the staff of the electricity company until he filed a complaint with FCCPC.
After the invitation of the two parties by the FCCPC, it was discovered that the businessman was given the wrong bills and had about N800,000 balance with Ikeja Disco due to overbilling.
His tweet reads:
“Recall that I once tweeted here about how Ikeja Disco kept sending me ridiculous bills and I had to report them to the @fccpcnigeri who gave me redress by crediting me with over N400,000 worth of energy credit.”

It was learned from Ghanaian news outlets that the businessman’s second wife had reportedly restricted others from having access to him.

The first wife and her children as well as the tycoon’s other family members had charged into the military hospital to take him out of there, but they were prevented.

A Twitter user has recounted an extremely generous act by an Igbo businessman who works in Kano state.
According to the Twitter user, identified as Sahabo Usman, who shared the story, the Igbo businessman invited up to 30 less privileged, homeless kids and got a tailor to measure the kids for clothes.

The businessman had made arrangements for clothes to be made for the kids so they can celebrate the next sallah in new attires.
The Twitter user wrote:
“This Happened in Kano… this shop is located at Sabon Gari in Kano, it is owned by an Igbo man, he is the one sitting on a chair inside the shop.
he gathered 30 children (Almajiris) and called a tailor to measure their sizes and take their name’s, tell them to come back next Saturday to collect new clothes of their respective sizes for Sallah celebration free

Dabarju Anarju, a Maiduguri businessman has been arrested for illegally tapping power from an electricity installation meant to power streetlights in his community.
According to several reports, the embattled businessman used the streetlights’ supply to run heavy duty equipment in his ice shop.

It was gathered that the streetlights’ supply powered 21 of the fridges in his shop located at NUJ, New GRA.
This, according to sources, helps him to run his cold drinks, ice blocks, and other business that needs electricity.
To this end, he was arrested by men of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, while his shop was demolished by the Bomo Geographic Information System on Tuesday, June 21.

A source’s narration said the man’s arrest follows the inquisitiveness of the streetlight operator in charge of the area, who became suspicious of the shop on Tuesday and asked him of the source of the power with which the fridges were powered as there was no sound of a generator.
