In a series of tweets, a woman identified as Allison detailed the bizarre incident that unfolded when she booked a ride. According to her, as she stepped outside, a woman in a Toyota Corolla pulled up and insisted that she was the one sent to pick her up. However, Allison noticed that her ride was supposed to be in a black Toyota Matrix, not a Corolla. Despite the driver’s claims that her Matrix was at the mechanic, Allison stood her ground and refused to get into the wrong car. To Allison’s relief, her actual cab driver in the Matrix arrived at the scene. She double-checked the details on her app and confirmed that the number plate matched. The Matrix driver was just as confused as Allison, as she had not come to pick anyone else up. This raised suspicions about the intentions of the fake cab driver and whether there was a potential collaboration between the two women. As the journey continued, the cab driver asked Allison if she had added any additional trips or if she wanted her to wait for her at the destination. These questions further heightened Allison’s concerns about the situation. Both drivers wore dark shades, adding an extra layer of mystery to the encounter. Thankfully, Allison remained vigilant and arrived safely at her destination, avoiding any further danger. Once I came out, a Toyota Corolla parks just in front of me (a lady too) and asks me to come in. I looked up and saw the Matrix and I told her I think the person she came to pick up isn’t out yet cos my app says a Matrix, not Corolla. “Tell me why this lady goes yes I know, my Matrix is at the mechanic, so I’m using this one now and I came to pick you up. I told her she didn’t come to pick me up cos I can see the Matrix I’m supposed to go with and she still insisted that it’s me she came to pick up, that her Matrix is at the mechanic. Matrix drives down to where we were, I checked my app and the number plate was what “I had on the app and I went with her. Even the Matrix was confused after I told her what happened cos how exactly??? I was told she left as soon as I did. She didn’t come to pick anybody up What if the Matrix lady was in on it so, a lady too came around. Cos that one was asking me when we got to my destination if I added a trip. More like if I wanted her to wait for me so that she could take me somewhere else too. Responding to the post, a lady identified as Karen shared a terrifying experience involving her friend, who, unbeknownst to her, faced a dangerous situation simply by sitting in the front seat of a cab. Karen accompanied her post with distressing images of her injured friend. According to Karen, the incident unfolded on a Thursday when her friend entered a cab and took the front seat. Unbeknownst to her, there was someone concealed in the back seat, attempting to strangle her and snatch her phone. In the lady’s words; “You say? This happened to my Friend on Thursday, Just because she sat in front and unknown to her there was someone at the back that fvcking tried to strangle her and collect her Phone. However, her skepticism soon turned into amazement as she discovered the true identity and professional standing of the driver. It turned out that the firm had recently halted their hiring process. However, recognizing Oluwatise’s potential, the Uber driver, who held a senior management position within the company, used his influence to persuade the company to reopen the application link specifically for her. Motivated by this unexpected opportunity, Oluwatise wasted no time and promptly applied for the job. To her delight, she received a prompt response and found herself attending an interview within a week. Demonstrating her capabilities she successfully secured the position, which remarkably allowed her to work remotely. Oluwatise wrote; “I always tell ppl to be extroverted and not stuck up. President Bola Tinubu has narrated an experience he will never forget as a young taxi driver in the United States. This was revealed as he shared his humble beginning in a biography published on the back page of a national daily where he revealed that a naval officer once slapped him for overcharging him unintentionally.

Tinubu, in the story, said he worked as unlicensed taxi driver in Chicago, the US picking passengers from the airport to their destinations. The president said the driving job was meant to sustain him financially before he went to school. He narrated, “We got an unregistered used car commonly called Gypsy, which we ran as a taxi. We operated at the airport where we picked passengers, and not anywhere else, like the hotel because it was forbidden for unlicensed cab drivers to do so. “We did that for a while to raise some money. Bolaji went to Tennessee, while I headed for Chicago. “I was supposed to have started schooling in April. I deferred it till September in order to have more money. Immediately I got to Chicago, I went straight to Richard Daley College. It was very interesting. “I was able to pay for my apartment and tuition fees at Chicago State University. I supplemented that by doing different menial jobs like door guard and security man.” Speaking further about the incident, he said the naval officer he carried responded with a slap on his face because he overcharged him, as his destination was nearby. “As a cab driver, one experience I will never forget was when I over-charged a naval officer returning to the country. It was not intentional,” Tinubu said. “Apparently, I didn’t know the direction. There was no GPRS in those days to locate directions. So, he gave me the direction to his house in a Virginia suburb. “I gave him the price and the man responded with a slap to my face. The story which was shared on Twitter by a writer identified as Abena, narrated that her bolt driver told her that his girlfriend of two years took a loan to buy him a car. Few weeks after his girlfriend took the loan she lost her job.
The driver who is elated at his girlfriend’s kind gesture took up teaching job and selling of perfumes inorder to raise money to help her pay back the loan.

“My Bolt driver says his GF of 2yrs took a loan to buy him the car, a few weeks before she lost her job. So he’s gone back to teaching, drives and sells perfumes in his car to help her back it back. He’s been praising her for more than 5 mins. I like that”.

Twitter user identified as @Aprokonurse1 who ordered the services of a cab driver spoke on an encounter that led to the driver weeping.
According to Aproko Nurse, the driver once spent his life resources sponsoring his lover to school only to be dumped after she graduated from school.

“I met a man today, he’s a cab driver, so he started a conversation when he drove past a fair lady, he told me how she left her hubby because he became financially handicapped.
I didn’t want to respond but had to, so I could hear him out, so as we were talking, he confessed that he almost once dated a lady 7 years ago, but she ran away.

I asked him what really happened, he narrated how he trained this lady in school, paid for a trade so she could learn, hair dressing, he rented a saloon ,bought a generator and other equipments that she needed for her.
Unfortunately in her final year in Uni, her mother became ill, he spent so much money on hospital bills, but she finally died, he paid for the corpse to be moved to the mortuary, they started making burial preparations with other family members of hers, her mom was laid to rest.
Few weeks after her Mom’s burial, she graduated from school, about to go for Nysc, he lost his job, his only car was involved in a fire accident, it was terribly damaged, just within that period, his landlord asked him to vacate the apartment he was occupying, things became rough.
He said one day, his girlfriend sat him down and told him that as she would be learning for her youth service, she doesn’t think she still wants the relationship, since things have turned out this way for him, that she can’t suffer with a man, and she was only with him because things were not working out for her and her family, the man said he became mute for some minutes, he thought she was joking.
Aunty packed her things and moved out of the house, went for service and never returned, he only learned of her wedding few months later, he said he was heartbroken and Since then he has refused to entangle with any woman, for over 7 years, cause of what she went through in the hands of a woman, after everything he did for her and the family, she decided to do such to him cause of how life became rough with him, I felt for him. 🥺
When I got to my destination, I stayed for some minutes to encourage him to at least give love a second chance, it’s been 7 years already, and at least he should have been healed by now, and that all things works together for good, he still wouldn’t listen, he drove off, sad. 😞

A Twitter user identified as @hensennygold1 on the microblogging platform took a trip that cost N1,300 but unfortunately made a cash transfer of over a hundred thousand naira to the driver.

Taking to the platform to seek assistance from the cab platform, the user emphasized how efforts to reach the cab driver had proved futile.
