Announcing his demise on Saturday, one X user, @KayceeMaduYEG, tweeted, “It is with profound sadness that I bring to you that our dear brother, friend, and colleague Ayokunle Odekunle, @oddy4real, lost his courageous battle with stage 4 cancer.” According to reports, Odekunle served as a solicitor and barrister at Queck & Associates Law Office in Alberta, Canada. He was a graduate of the University of Ibadan in Oyo State in 2011 with a law degree, Odekunle was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2012. In 2023, he received a call to the Alberta Bar. Having worked at Nigeria’s leading commercial litigation firm, Kenna Partners, Odekunle gained a reputation as a successful litigator, representing multiple global corporations in high-profile lawsuits in Nigeria, all of which he won. Ayokunle’s legal practice focused on various areas, including family law, immigration, wills and estates, and general litigation. Odekunle is survived by his spouse and children.

Apparently, the student was sent to study on a fully funded PhD scholarship, but rather than focus on his studies, he was busy wooing all the ladies in his department. It was gathered that a report was made by some of the ladies against him, which could attract disciplinary actions. The tweep wrote: “Dem give you funding to do PhD but when you arrived at your dept, na only you dey toast all the gals there until they had to file complaints against you.
