A Nigerian man has attracted mixed reactions after he turned a 40ft container into a house with beautiful interior decorations. Source: Tiktok While sharing a post on social media, the young man who has attracted a lot of attention from people has shown social media users how he managed to turn a container into a house. The young man carried netizens through the process via a video he shared on TikTok. In the video shared on Tiktok by Ifeanyi Nonso, he showed an empty container with a rusty body looking abandoned and how he started by painting the rusted white container into a blue container and other lighting works. In the slides that followed, Ifeanyi and his team had turned the inside of the container into a beautiful setup with different rooms. The designed container had a toilet, a bathroom, a kitchen, and everything a home should have. Ifeanyi urged netizens to engage his services for schools, clubhouses, homes, and offices made from containers. While some social media users applauded the young man for his creativity, others also saw it from a different direction. Many questioned the young man if he thought about thunder and lighting during rainy seasons as it wouldn’t be safe to stay in a container turned into a house. Nine dead, one rescued as container falls on a bus in Lagos (Video)
On Sunday, January 29th, nine people were killed in Lagos State when a container fell on a bus at the Ojuelegba bridge.
The bus was reportedly carrying a full load of passengers and nine fatalities were confirmed at the scene. An eyewitness reported that the trailer was trying to prevent the bus from passing when the accident occurred. The Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu who confirmed the incident in a statement noted that an adult female was rescued alive.
“Upon arrival at the scene, a truck conveying a 20ft container was found to have landed on top of a commercial bus. “Further investigations revealed that the bus was picking up passengers when the truck lost control and fell over the side of the bridge. “After suspending the container load with the aid of the Agency’s forklift and cutting off the top of the bus with light rescue equipment, a single adult woman was extricated alive and taken to the trauma centre. “Final casualty count is 9 fatalities comprising, 4 adult males, 3 adult females,1 boy child and 1 girl child and 1 adult female rescued alive. “The Agency’s heavy-duty Goliath and teams from Onipan and Cappa are on ground. The Agency’s Ambulance, LASG FIRE, FED FIRE, LASTMA and Nigeria Police have been working on this situation which is now concluded. “Further investigation to be carried out by the Nigeria Police on the removal of the barriers on the bridge aimed at preventing trucks from ascending,” the statement said. Many people feared dead as a 40-ft container falls on three cars at the Oshodi Apapa expressway, Lagos, today December 22.
According to reports, the driver of one of the commercial buses from the accident has lost his life as the other passengers are said to have sustained serious injuries.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has confirmed the accident in a post on its Facebook page. They have also assured the general public that the Police team from the IIasa division is currently helping to restore calm and see to other injured persons.
