“Useless decision maker” — Aremu Afolayan calls for Emefiele’s arrest amidst shortage of resources to print Naira notes

Veteran Nollywood actor, Aremu Afolayan calls for the arrest of the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele as he laments the hardship faced by Nigerians amidst scarcity of Naira notes.

This comes after the the CBN reported shortage of resources to print more money despite the new Naira design that triggered scarcity. “As it is now, the CBN may have little or no choice but to contract the printing of the new N1,000, N500 and N200 notes to foreign contractors in order to make the new notes go round the country quickly and save the nation the embarrassment caused by the current scarcity and its attendant consequences,” a former top official of the CBN, said to Saturday PUNCH anonymously in a report. In a short video, Aremu Afolayan insited on the arrest of the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele for making a premature decision that threw the country in jeopardy.

“Emefiele or what’s your name, you’re a useless decision maker; I’ve never seen you work at the Central Bank; you have been nothing. You said you don’t have enough paper to print the new note and you put so much pressure. You should be arrested and jailed for the people that has died for this cause,” he said in part. The young lady who has shown passion and consistency in her business went viral on social media after one of her TikTok video went viral. While speaking to a reporter from Legit.com, the young lady disclosed that she started her shoe-making business in 2016 and also disclosed why she loves the art of shoemaking. According to the female cobbler, her zeal and creativity gingered her to venture into shoe-making which made her set up Anny’s Footwear, a Port Harcourt-based shoe brand. Speaking about how social media has played an impact on her business, she said; “Social media has been more helpful because, without social media, I can’t afford to pay my bill with what I sell in my shop.” She further described her business as a profitable business. “In fact, I am not thinking of doing any other businesses apart from being a shoemaker.” “It makes me different from every other woman. I am adored by people and many women want to be like me.”

The wife of music executive and politician Banky W, Adesua Etomi has revealed her reactions when her husband told her about joining politics.

In 2019, Banky W joined politics to run for the federal constituency of Eti-Osa in the House of Representatives as a member of the Modern Democratic Party (MDP). In 2022, Banky W was declared the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party for House of Reps. According to Adesua Etormi in a recent interview, she was worried when her husband disclosed his ambitions and decided to join politics. However, she added that her fears and her concerns subsided when she realized Banky W was pursuing a higher purpose. When Banky said he was going to go into politics, I was a little bit worried, she said. I spoke about this many times before but I also believe that purpose is more important than fear.

“Shut up” – Angel flares up after media personality, Dotun faulted her decision to mention all she did for Cross on live TV

Reality TV star, Angel lost her cool when media personality, Dotun criticized her because she mentioned all she did for former Shine Ya Eye housemate, Cross, on national TV.
Recall that Angel had during an episode of the reunion show on Tuesday night, mentioned some of the things she did for Cross which she claimed were never reciprocated.

According to her, that was why she ended their friendship.
Noting that she cooked for Cross three times when he was sick and gave him money when they were in Dubai after he ran out of cash, Angel expressed disappointment that she didn’t get such love in return.
This led to Dotun’s reaction, who subsequently submitted that if anyone comes on TV to tell the world what they’ve done for him, then it was never from a genuine place.
