Why I dropped out of medical school in my final year - Peruzzi opens up

Peruzzi, a Nigerian artist and songwriter, has described why he dropped out of medical school when he got to his final year. The artist revealed on the Zero Conditions Podcast how psychologically exhausted he was while studying Medicine and Surgery in Ukraine. He insisted that he had just finished the course and that he wanted to pursue his musical love. “I got tired for real, for real. I never felt like that in my life. I was done, like everything about me, in my head, I was done with medicine. And that was when I was about to start my final year so it was a lot. I had written my first MD already at the time. It wasn’t about how long I had left at the time, it was about me not wanting to do anything again. I didn’t want to do it anymore,” said Peruzzi.

He was able to tell his mother how he had been feeling at school and why he wanted to return, and she set one condition for his return. He continued; “I really got tired, my entire being was tired so I left on the first of January and I didn’t even have my passport, I had lost it. So I went to the embassy and they gave me a travel letter because I needed to leave that urgently. When I got back the only person I told was my mum. I was able to explain how bad I was feeling and she said I should make sure to come back with my school result and everything from the first year to show that I was in school so I did.” He couldn’t tell his father why he was back in Nigeria, and his mother hadn’t informed him either. Peruzzi then informed the podcast hosts that members of his father’s church had begun to murmur among themselves at the time that he had dropped out because he was home during a non-holiday season. Despite dropping out, the singer appears to have no remorse about his decision.

He said; “Sometimes you need training time and a breather. It’s not a straight road where everything happens in a linear way. Sometimes you need to take a step away. It’s not easy to arrive in what was a pre-season for him in a new country, new league and new club and just hit his maximum level. The fee doesn’t change that. We’re positive about his future and we just need to help him settle in.”

Gregg Berhalter reportedly dropped as USA coach after kicking wife during ‘heated argument’

Gregg Berhalter reportedly dropped as USA coach after kicking wife during 'heated argument'

Gregg Berhalter will no longer be the head coach of the USA Men’s National Soccer team after a report of him kicking his wife after a “heated argument” made headlines.
Berhalter, whose contract with US Soccer expired on December 31, 2022, had admitted to kicking his wife in the legs during a heated argument outside a bar in 1991.

In a statement he released over the incident, 49-year-old Berhalter did not confirm whether he would coach the team in the build-up to the 2026 World Cup, but he said that he wants to share his side of the story.
It partly read;
“During the World Cup, an individual contacted U.S Soccer saying they had information about me that would “take me down” – an apparent effort to leverage something very personal from long ago to bring about the end of my relationship with U.S Soccer. This is a difficult step to take, but my wife, Rosalind, and I want to clearly and directly share the truth. This is a story that belongs to us, but hopefully there are lessons that can be valuable to others.
“In the fall of 1991, I met my soulmate. I had just turned 18 and was a freshman in college when I met Rosalind for the first time. There was a familiar feeling when we spoke. Rosalind was and is an amazing person – determined, empathetic, fun to be around – and we connected immediately. It felt like we had known each other for years. We had been dating for four months when an incident happened between us that would shape the future of our relationship. One night, while out drinking at a local bar, Rosalind and I had a heated argument that continued outside. It became physical and I kicked her in the legs.

“There are zero excuses for my actions that night; it was a shameful moment and one that I regret to this day. At the time, I immediately apologised to Rosalind, but understandably, she wanted nothing to do with me. I told my parents, family and friends what happened because I wanted to take full responsibility for my behaviour. Rosalind also informed her parents, family and friends. While the authorities were never involved in this matter, I voluntarily sought out counselling to help learn, grow and improve – one of the most valuable decisions that I ever made. To this day, that type of behaviour has never been repeated.
“I feared that I lost my soulmate and then out of the blue, seven months later I received a call from Rosalind asking if we could speak in person. We met and discussed how we had grown and decided to rebuild our relationship. Rosalind shared that her family supported this decision and by working through what happened, we both realised that our live, trust and respect for each other was stronger than the incident that occurred months earlier. Since then, Rosalind and I have lived together in five different countries, three different states, and have met and remained friends with many wonderful people from all around the world. All of these people have witnessed the strong relationship we have and the loving family we have built together.”

Though Berhalter and his wife have now been together for 25 years, celebrating their wedding relationship over the New Year’s Eve weekend, the US Soccer federation announced that it would be investigating the matter, and would release more information on its investigation at a later date.
ABC reported that USSF also said that it will announce “in the coming days” who will coach the team for exhibitions against Serbia on January 25 and Colombia three days later. These are the first matches for the Americans since they were eliminated by the Netherlands last month in the World Cup round of 16.

Berhalter, 51, was hired in December 2018 after the U.S. failed to qualify for that year’s World Cup. He has led the team to 37 wins, 11 losses and 12 draws, and the Americans earned the third and final automatic World Cup berth from the North and Central American and Caribbean region.
Berhalter is also the first American to play for and coach the U.S. at a World Cup.

Why I dropped out of university barely six months after I got in

Popular singer, Stanley Omah Didia, better known as Omah Lay has revealed why he dropped out of school barely 6 months after being admitted.
The 25-year-old crooner in an interview noted that while he was in school he was also learning music production and was in dire need of finance for school.
Omah Lay who seemingly had a passion for music production disclosed that he had to drop out of school both for financial reasons and to create time for music production.
He went on to state that he initially planned on going back to school but things took a different turn and he hasn’t been able to return to the classroom up till this point.
He said:
“I was in the university for like half a year, and I stopped. I just dropped out. Yeah, it was a hard choice to make because at that time I was just learning music production and I needed financing for school. I needed time for music production.”
“Somehow, I just loved music production so much I could let go of school for music production. I felt like maybe sometime I will come back but when I got really deep into music production, I didn’t go back to school, and I didn’t even have the time.”
“At some point, it felt like a wrong choice, but then, things started clicking, I started making beats that I love, that people wow. I started writing songs for people and people didn’t believe that that was me, and I just kept doing it until I found myself in Germany right now. I’m here right now, I’m doing this interview right now.”

Angel Smith opens up on why she dropped out of university after two weeks

Angel Smith opens up on why she dropped out of university after two weeks

Angel Smith, former Big Brother Naija season 6 housemate, has spoken up about her brief stint at the University of Lagos.
The BBNaija star revealed that she was only at the institution for two weeks before leaving due to a sxxual assault encounter.

Angel made this disclosure in an interview with Taymesan on Friday, May 20.
She said:
“I was in UNILAG for only two weeks. I struggled so much for those two weeks because when I got into UNILAG was my first sxxual assault experience.
After that experience happened, I can remember just moving through it and pretending like it never happened.
It affected my school life so much. I always blamed it on not knowing what to do in UNILAG when actually, I’ve always been fully aware of what I wanted to do.”

Angel revealed that she had lived with her grandmother, and although she wanted to be a gynecologist she had done away with the idea and began excelling in English to the point when she won multiple Spelling Bees and improved her writing ability.
In her words:
“I knew what I wanted to do but I didn’t just do that because I had experienced something so traumatic and I didn’t speak to anybody about it, especially not my granny because I had so much shame
Nobody knew I was out of school until my mum had asked and I was like, ‘let me finally be out with it’.
“When I told her that and she asked me why, I obviously did not tell her what happened. I just told her I didn’t think I was doing the right course.
“Then she enrolled me in a foundational programme in the UK, which I dropped out from too.”
According to Angel, she had quit school because at that point in her life she didn’t really what she had wanted.
