Bassey Otu, originally born as Bassey Edet Otu is a Nigerian politician who represented the Cross River State district of Calabar Municipal/Odukpani in the Federal House of Representatives from 2003 to 2011. He was elected Senator for Cross River South on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) platform in the April 2011 elections. Later, in 2016, he defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), and in 2019, he was elected as the party’s Cross River South Senatorial candidate.
