A Nigerian man identified as Salman Musa Yari has publicly accused his wife of poisoning his food. Yari made the claim in a post on Facebook, where he thanked God for his survival. In the post, Yari wrote, “My wife poisoned my food and I ate it, but thank God I survived. Alhamdulillah. It’s hard to find true love these days. I am disappointed in you my wife.” He went ahead to claim that his wife got married to him because she was sent on a mission to eliminate him. It is unclear when the incident occurred or what the motive behind it may have been. The post has since gone viral, with many netizens expressing shock and concern over the claim. Some have questioned the veracity of Yari’s claim, while others called for an investigation into the matter. President Bola Tinubu has charged the newly elected president of the senate, senator Godswill Akpabio and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Senator Tajudeen Abbas to work hard as Nigerians want them to lift their economic burden and eliminate insecurity. Tinubu in a statement while congratulating the new leadership of the national assembly, also reminded them that in the course of work together, disagreements may occur and that any disagreement will not be out of malice, ill-will and the quest to diminish the institution of the National Assembly or any individual member. A mother of five has claimed that her life is being threatened after sharing a video at her polling unit on election day. The video showed how INEC officials were allegedly manipulating their results in Apapa, Lagos State.

In an update, she lamented that they wanted to eliminate her because she refused to negotiate or accept any form of incentive to take her video down. She maintained that despite the threat to her life, the most important thing for her is the genuineness of the results being presented by INEC. In her words:
“Good afternoon guys I’m Eunice the labour party candidate for Apapa federal constituency in Lagos and I am the one that uploaded the video showing us how INEC officials were manipulating our results early this morning about 4, 5 a.m. “The problem now is that they are threatening me they won’t eliminate me because I refuse to negotiate or accept any form of incentive to stand down my activities to help us” Watch the video below:
