Fans of Wizkid have risen to defend their superstar after an old tweet of Reekado Banks calling Wizkid’s voice a faulty generator surfaces. The tweet was made back in 2012 and Reekado Banks had claimed that Wizkid makes his voice shake at the end of his songs. Back in 2020, Wizkid had insulted Reekado Banks for his insensitivity after he released their joint song at the peak of the EndSars protest.

Senate Presient-elect, Godswill Akpabio His victory was announced by the clerk of the National Assembly, Sani Tambawal Magaji who said Akpabio emerged the winner with 63 votes leaving his rival with 46 votes. Akpabio is the first South-Southerner to be elected President of the Senate since Nigeria got its independence in 1960. GistReel reports that in the last general election, the APC party secured the majority of seats in the green chamber with over 170, followed by the PDP with over 100, the Labour Party with over 35, and the New Nigeria People’s Party with about 20. Many APC lawmakers expressed interest in becoming the next Speaker of the House or Senate President, including Benjamin Kalu, Ahmed Wase, Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, Yusuf Gagdi, Aliyu Betara, Tajudeen Abbas, Abdulraheem Olawuyi, Sani Jaji, Princess Onuoha, Abdulaziz Yari, Orji Kalu, and Godswill Akpabio. However, the APC officially zoned the Senate President to the South-South (Akpabio), Deputy Senate President to the North-West (Barau Jibrin), Speaker position to the North-West (Abass), and Deputy Speaker to the South-East (Kalu). Some APC hopefuls rejected the party’s position and called for a review of the formula to include the North Central geopolitical zone and not give two positions to the North-West. 
This was announced by the Chairman of the Electoral Panel and Abia Governor-elect, Alex Otti on Saturday. Achonu, who previously represented Imo North Senatorial District, received 134 votes and defeated Maj.-Gen. Lincoln Ogunewe, who received 121 votes. The other contestants, including Martin Agbaso, Basil Maduka, Ibe Ike, Sam Amadi, retired Capt. David Mbamara, Kelechi Nwagwu, AIG Charles Agomuo, and Ndidi Anike, received a range of votes. Otti praised the delegates for their peaceful conduct during the exercise and commended the aspirants for their resilience. He urged all the aspirants to support the governorship candidate of the party, “so that together we can move as a team to win the trophy.” “All we want is a very strong Labour Party in Imo. Abia state does not want to be an orphan. So we plead with you to ensure that a brother governor emerges in the state come Nov. 11,” he stressed. 
Big Brother Titans South African born housemate Khosi has emerged winner of the first edition of the Big Brother Titans reality television show. This comes after 78 days on the show which witnessed a series of drama, competitions, and loads of fun between 24 housemates from Nigerian and South Africa combined. Khosi survived all six weeks that she was nominated for possible eviction and heading to the final week among the top 6 housemates. Her journey in the Big Brother house was unique haven survived the pairing evictions and two individual evictions. Kanaga Jnr was announced as the first runner-up followed by the second runner-up Tsatsii while Yvonne, Ebubu, and Ipeleng were the 4th, 5th, and 6th respectively.
It was indeed an emotional moment for Khosi not just making it this far but going home with the show’s grand prize of $100k including a brand new car and other benefits. 
However, female housemate, Khosi emerged as the tail of the house for her bad perfomance during the Head of House game. She was given a tail symbol to wear throughout the week.
