Asa Asika eulogizes Peruzzi for great writing skills on Davido’s hit track ‘Unavailable’

The manager of Nigerian artist, Davido, Asa Asika has eulogized Peruzzi for writing one of Davido’s track from his album “Timeless”.

Recall that Davido dropped his much-anticipated ‘Timeless’, album on March 31, a few months after the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke jnr. The 17-track album features guest appearances from Grammy award-winning Beninese singer, Angelique Kidjo, British rapper, Skepta, Asake, Fave, Cavemen, and DMW’s latest signees; Morravey and Logos Olori. Davido’s manager, Asa Asika has hailed Peruzzi over his excellent writing skill and the amount of work he put in the track ‘Unavailable’ to become a success. This praises from Asa Asika comes after Peruzzi took to his Twitter page to show appreciation to Davido and his manager Asika for trusting him enough and giving him such a significant task. Asa Asika wrote while hailing Peruzzi; “My favourite writer to work with anytime, any day. @peruzzi_vibes”

Davido reaches yet another milestone with his latest album, Timeless, as it becomes the first-ever African album to hit no.1 on the US iTunes album chart.

Ever singer the release of “Timeless”, new records have been set on major streaming platforms, such as Audiomack and Apple Music. On the 4th of April, 2023. Davido’s team released a list of new records that have been broken by ”Timeless.” At the time, he was “Number Two on Apple Music’s US Albums chart.” The latest development has it that the music superstar’s Timeless has now become the first-ever African album to hit no.1 on the US iTunes album chart. Nollywood actor Junior Pope has shared a vow he made with God and the consequences that should follow if ever he hit his wife, Jennifer Awele.

This disclosure comes after Junior Pope was questioned on some marital challenges and lessons he has learned in the many years of his marriage with his wife. Speaking in an interview with The Punch, he disclosed that their marriage wasn’t rosy in the first year. He recounted how he borrowed his wife’s gold jewelry to borrow money from an aboki. He said; “Back then it seemed like it wasn’t working, it was not easy at all. I have not mentioned it before but to the glory of God, today let me share this. After I got married, the first year was not rosy; I collected my wife’s gold jewelry and used it to borrow money from aboki. So, I give Him the glory for giving me a patient wife. “Why would I want to touch a woman like this? God forbid. One thing I told myself and God is that the day I lay my hands on my wife, let me run mad. Instead, I walk away”, he answered after being asked if he has gone to the limit of hitting his wife.

While explaining how he combines fame with being a family man, Junior Pope said; “My dad taught me all even though he didn’t spare the rod to spoil me. I grew up with a disciplinarian, so you need to pick from all areas and add up. So, the part I didn’t see in my dad is what I am giving to my children and that is the playful part. This is how I try to balance the equation. As a celebrity, you must know where you are coming from. Once you let this celebrity thing get into your head, then you are heading for a fall. Imagine as big as Mercy Johnson is, and the way she is so humble to her husband, why will their home have a problem?

Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp has said that his players had suffered some health challenges ahead of their Premier League trip to Manchester City. Spyro speaks on inspiration behind hit song, ‘Who’s Your Guy’

Fast rising musician, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David better known as Spyro has spoken on the inspiration behind his viral track as he reveals that he seeks God’s direction before releasing his songs.

The singer who became a sensation after releasing his hit track ‘Who’s Your Guy‘ made this known while speaking in an interview with Punch. He said that he believes that there is a spiritual and physical part to everything and he ensures that he takes the spiritual part equally serious in his music. Spyro said: “I usually go into God’s presence to seek His face, His blessings and directions, days before releasing any song. I don’t do anything without first enquiring from God. I am of the opinion that there is a physical part to things, and also a spiritual part; so I make sure I take that spiritual part seriously. One needs someone working behind the scenes for one.” On the remix of his popular song, the singer revealed that it had been Tunde Ednut, an Instagram blogger, that had reached out to him to take the song to another level.

He said: “Tunde Ednut (singer-turned-blogger) reached out to me and said we needed to take the song to the next level, and we should do a remix. He asked me who I had in mind. We went through a couple of names together, before agreeing on Tiwa. I chose Tiwa because I knew she would bring in as much value to the song as I thought; and, she actually did. We connected on different levels. She is an amazing person with a good heart, and I love the fact that she is passionate about the things she does. I am happy I made the remix with her.” Speaking on what inspired the ‘Who’s your guy’ song, he said: “It was actually a love song when I first recorded in 2021 as freestyle. However, when I wanted to release it in 2022, I decided to revamp it and make it more relatable to as many people as possible. It’s not just about lovers; ‘one’s guy’ could be anyone, ranging from family and friends.”

Mo’Cheddah details how her hit song “Won be ri” came to be

Nigerian singer and rapper, Mo’Cheddah is spilling all the juicy details behind the birth of her hit song “Won be ri”.

The singer, who is now married with a child was a guest on media personality, Teymesan’s podcast. Teymesan had asked Mo what her first hit song was and she responded with “Won be ri”. Mo’Cheddah went on to reveal how it came to life. She narrated how she had just gotten into the University at the time at the age of 16. Mo’Cheddah finished her secondary education in September and got into the University of Lagos by the following month. She was still very busy with school and her label did not want her to sing yet as she was still being groomed. However, singer, Saucekid was working on a song that needed a hook. The singer, who was supposed to do the hook was also unavailable at the time. She was also in Unilag and was as busy as Mo’Cheddah as well. They decide to give Mo’Cheddah a chance to record, just so SauceKid has something to record on. Saucekid loved her voice in the song. That was how Mo’Cheddah got her first hit song. Footage emerged on Sunday, February 5, of Super Eagles star and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen apologizing to a lady who was hit by a ball he played during warm-up. Osimhen was seen climbing up into the stands and walking towards the young fan who he eventually gave a heartfelt hug. As he made his way back to continue the warm-up exercise with his teammates, some fans were seen holding on to the arm of the Nigerian player who is currently Seria A’s highest goal-scorer in the ongoing campaign.

A lady has taken to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter, where she shared her encounter with a man whose car she hit. The lady revealed she had hit the man while driving. They both got down to see the extent of the damage. To her surprise, he asked if she was okay, and she responds in the affirmative. He asked if he could have her phone number, but she told him she was in a relationship. Sadly, he made a u-turn and asked her to call her insurance company to get his car fixed. Andriy Shevchenko reveals he was almost hit by Russian drone strike in Ukraine

Former Ballon d’Or winner, Andriy Shevchenko came close to being hit by a Russian drone strike during a recent visit to his home country, Ukraine.

The former Chelsea and AC Milan striker who is currently in Doha as he is one of the many guests FIFA invited for the 2022 World Cup final, revealed this during an interview with Sky Sports where he talked about the war in his homeland, Ukraine.
Shevchenko further disclosed that this occurred during his visit to Ukraine in November.

He said;

“Yeah, I was very close to one.

“About 2km from the strike. One of the electric central generators (was hit) like we all know the Russians are trying to hit the critical infrastructure. The feeling (from the explosion) was very strong.
“When I move to the war zone I know this could happen.

“It is an incredible feeling when you go there. The people are suffering but they are very united. We know what we have to do, we know how to survive, we know we have to be united together.”
