Famous Tv presenter, Adams Ibrahim Adebola, popularly known as VJ Adams, shares his two cents on why teenagers should not rush to leave their parents’ house. The OAP took to his Instagram page to share a video hinting at how expensive rent is particularly in high ends areas.

Source: Instagram VJ Adams argued that the justification for wanting ‘freedom’ is an excuse to be wayward and out of control. He cited the example of saving up rent for a period of ten years in a parents’ house as a better option than moving out early. “If you’re 17, or 18, I don’t see why you are in a hurry to leave your parents’ house, especially if your parents live in good proximity areas. ‘I need freedom’, you don’t need freedom. You simply want to smoke weed and do drugs. Think about it, if you’re 17 and will be 27 in ten years, imagine saving N3M every year for 10 years instead of using it to pay rent. You’d have saved N30m and will be able to get a comfortable space when you’re ready to move at 27,” he stated. VJ stated the case of those who are without options like himself who had to leave his parent’s house due to proximity to his workplace. Watch the video below …

An unidentified pregnant woman stabs her house girl, Chinasa Anemem, after discovering that she failed to wash a bag at their residence on Simeon Oniyimofe Street in the Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State. According to reports, following the incident, the pregnant woman left Anemem, who was bleeding heavily, alone at home.

Upset by the situation, the neighbour recorded a video where Anemem recounted the events leading to the severe bleeding on her back caused by the attack.

He said, “This is terribly bad, this occurred on May 19, 2023. It is very appalling that some of us as parents may not be able to take care of ourselves, and we will now give the children God has given us out into slavery. “You can imagine this girl, this is not the first time, I am a concerned neighbour. It has been happening often. This girl is subjected to inhuman treatment and gross child abuse. “She doesn’t go to school at times because she’s not able to carry out some house chores. This is what is happening here on Adaloko, no 18 Simeon Oniyimofe Street, Ojo “The husband of the woman who stabbed this girl and gave her a deep cut, instead of being thankful to me, threatened to deal with me. And that is why I decided to take this evidence.” In response, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer for the state, stated that the woman had been arrested and subsequently transferred to the recently revitalized gender unit of the command. He further mentioned that an ongoing investigation is being conducted into the incident. The suspect, Eucheria Ndigwe, aged 30 was arrested yesterday.
